How To Complete the Sukyoji Bell (Kuji-Kiri) in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Sukyoji Bell Kuji-kiri is a meditation challenge that Naoe can complete in the Tamba region. Completing kuji-kiri side activities in Assassin’s Creed Shadows rewards you with Knowledge Points, helps the shinobi come to terms with her troubled past, and is even tied to the main story. Additionally, you can complete another side activity that rewards Knowledge Points in the same location as Sukyoji Bell.

Sukyoji Bell Kuji-Kiri Location in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The Sukyoji Bell Kuji-kiri challenge can be completed in the Sukyoji Temple. The temple is located in the Tamba region, south of Miyazu Bay. If you follow the river south from Miyazu Bay, hugging the western edge of the map, you will arrive at Sukyoji Temple soon. If you approach from the south, travelling from Chasuriyama, the temple will be on the left after you cross a bridge over the river. 

Upon entering the Sukyoji Temple premises, head into the structure on the right with twin doorways. Past the first row of pillars, you will see the kuji-kiri spot on the right, overlooking a garden where a giant ceremonial bell is suspended. Interact with the spot to begin the Sukyoji Bell kuji-kiri activity.

How To Complete the Sukyoji Bell Kuji-kiri?

As Naoe sits down to meditate, you will need to perform quick-time events as they appear. Try to understand the rhythmic pattern of the button presses between the four circles: top, left, right, and bottom. Each circle will have a button assigned to it, which you will have to press when it glows and a ring appears around it. The pattern follows this sequence: 

• Top > Right > Bottom > Left + Right

The exact buttons you need to press will vary based on your system and input settings. However, the same button will appear in a set position during kuji-kiri. Placing a finger over each button and following this rhythm will simplify the challenge.

After a few error-free repetitions of the button presses, the tempo will quicken, and the button prompts will disappear. You have to continue pressing the same buttons from memory as the tempo rises, and the challenge will soon be completed. Alternatively, you can simplify the process by setting quick-time events to auto. Go to:

• Options > Gameplay > Quick Time Events > Auto

This will not have a negative impact on any achievements or trophies.

Sukyoji Bell Kuji-kiri Rewards in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Completing the Sukyoji Bell kuji-kiri side activity will reward you with 550 XP and one Knowledge Point. Additionally, you can complete the Sukyoji Temple Lost Pages side activity to receive another Knowledge Point and 500 XP.
