To remedy that issue, the developer has added many NPCs in AC Shadows to make the world more lively and interesting. In addition to that, you can even romance some. Mayu is one of those individuals.

However, to sway her, you must complete certain objectives in the game first. In this article, we will look at those objectives so you can understand the process to complete this endeavor.

Steps To Romance Mayu in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Mayu is a widow and one of the romanceable characters in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. She has quite a tragic story. Mayu lost her husband during the war; he never returned from the battlefield, and after this traumatic event, she lost the will to look at anyone with affection until she met Naoe.

Fortunately, unlike some characters in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you won’t have to sit through a chain of different quests to romance Mayu. The process of swaying her is short, and she grows fond of Naoe during a single mission. However, this one quest will consume a good amount of your time because you will have to go on a long journey to collect all 69 Jizo statues to complete it. But for players who enjoy exploration, it can be a nice experience.

Romance Mayu With the Following Dialogue Options

You will first meet Mayu in Gose, Yamato. Speak to her to start this quest. After starting the mission, you will have to go back to Mayu once you pay your respects to the first 10 Jizo statues. When you speak to her, pick the “I know that feeling” line, as it is the first requirement to romance her.

Then the next opportunity to have a conversation with Mayu will be available once you find 35 Jizo statues. After reaching this number of statues, pick the “You can define your own path” option when you speak to the widow.

Once you have completed the first two requirements, you will need to honor all 69 Jizo Statues through the map of Shadows to unlock the third conversation with Mayu. After honoring all statues, go back to Mayu and pick the following dialogue options:

• “I learned to follow my own intuition.”
• “Not before I kiss you.”

After the last line, Naoe and Mayu will share a kiss, and the romance sequence will be complete.
