In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, horses are essential in taking you from one point to another on the vast map. You can call your horse with a simple whistle. Also, these horses can be adorned by various mounts. One such legendary mount is Namazu, inspired by the mythical catfish from Japanese folklore.
The Namazu mount does not vary in speed and abilities compared to the other horses in the game, but it stands out with its distinct look. It features several fish scales on its body and even whiskers like a catfish. You can obtain the Namazu mount via a chest on Okishima Island.

Location of the Legendary Mount in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
To get the legendary mount in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, head to Okishima Island, which is located south of the Omi region. Also, you can fast-travel to Okishima Kakurega, near Lake Biwa. If you have not unlocked that fast travel point, you can get to Azuchi and grab a boat from the Trade Harbor point. While it is possible to swim to Okishima Island, it will take quite a bit of time. Obtaining the Legendary Mount in AC Shadows
Once you reach the safe house, head northwest toward the coast. Follow the coastline until you spot a lit bonfire. Next, you will be able to locate a cherry blossom tree. Dive into the water near the tree and look for a cave opening. Swim through the tunnel, heading towards its end.
Make sure to check on your breath by surfacing for air when needed. Soon, you will spot a chest resting on the waterbed. Open the chest to collect the reward. Inside the chest, you will find the legendary Namazu Mount in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. You can equip the mount via the inventory screen.
