How To Get Otakemaru’s Battlecry Trinket in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

Locate the Koriyama Camp Legendary Chest to find Otakemaru’s Battlecry Legendary Trinket in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Amulets and trinkets are two of the five gear types your character can equip in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. While they essentially have the same function, amulets are unique to Yasuke, and trinkets can only be used by Naoe. Otakemaru’s Battlecry (legendary trinket) is one that you can find early on in the game to boost Naoe’s combat prowess significantly. It increases her stats by the following amounts:

• Health – 16.5%
• Critical Damage – 31.5%
• Adrenaline Gain – 40%

Additionally, Otakemaru’s Battlecry has the Health for Shinobi Mastery (legendary engraving), which grants 1% health per Mastery Point in the Shinobi Skill Tree. With the tree fully upgraded, the engraving will increase Naoe’s health by 24%. To find this powerful combination of items, choose either Naoe or Yasuke and prepare to clear an enemy camp.

Otakemaru’s Battlecry Location in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To find Otakemaru’s Battlecry (legendary trinket), open the Koriyama Camp Legendary Chest in Izumi Settsu. Koriyama Camp is located near the starting region’s northwestern border, directly west of Takatsuki. If you have discovered it, the Muggy Lands Tower Viewpoint is the closest fast-travel location to Koriyama Camp, with a direct line of sight.

The Muggy Lands Kakurega is another fast-travel location situated nearby. From there, head north until you arrive at the legendary chest’s location. Use the observe tool as you travel to ensure you don’t miss it. Alternatively, you can start your journey from the Hidden Forest Kakurega and take the main road east. Just past the border crossing into Izumi Settsu from Harima, turn onto the small road on your left and climb up toward Koriyama Camp.

Koriyama Camp

The camp has around a dozen low-level enemies and one armored combatant to contend with. You can climb into the camp over its wall and use either stealth or open combat to clear it. At its center, you will find a pit with a man crucified inside. Jump into the pit and proceed to the adjoining room. On the left, you will find a legendary chest. Open it to receive Otakemaru’s Battlecry (legendary trinket) and Health for Shinobi Mastery (legendary engraving).

Upgrade Otakemaru’s Battlecry

To use Otakemaru’s Battlecry for maximum effect, you must have built the forge in your Hideout to access the blacksmith. This is accomplished during the Way of the Blacksmith main story quest. Use the forge to add a second engraving to Otakemaru’s Battlecry. In the early game, one of the most powerful engravings you can access is Damage for Non-Legendary Gear (legendary engraving). It is found alongside Oni’s Fury (legendary trinket).
