Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Dark Waves, Black Ships Mission Guide

Players must find clues about Duarte de Melo in the Dark Waves, Black Ships quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows to continue their journey.

Yasuke’s Journey in Assassin’s Creed Shadows consists of many quests, including the Dark Waves, Black Ships mission. This questline kicks off a series of missions that will eventually lead Yasuke to more members of the Templar Order. But for that, players will have to gather clues about an individual named Duarte de Melo first in this quest. Additionally, you have to complete the Performer quest from the campaign to unlock this mission. So, with that said, let us guide you through Dark Waves, Black Ships mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

How To Complete Dark Waves, Black Ships Quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

After you have defeated the Fox in the Performer storyline, you can go to Yasuke’s objective board and select the Dark Waves, Black Ships quest. During this mission, your first task will be to track down Duarte de Melo. The game does not tell the player the exact location of their target. Instead, the game gives them clues to potential areas of interest. In the same way, you will get the following clues:

• There may be a lead in Wakasa.
• It is within Obama.
• It may be in the Trading Port.

Now, take Yasuke to Obama. It resides in the Wakasa region. You can travel on foot or horseback. But we recommend that you simply fast travel to the Obama Guard Tower if it is already unlocked. Once there, you can use the focus mode to pinpoint the location you want to be in. The location emerges as a house and inside it, you will find a note. Read the set of instructions to get the next objective.

Light Up The Fires and Wait

After you have examined the note, you will have to go to the Trading Port area and light three signal fires. The first fire will be in the northwest. Additionally, you will be able to find the second one on a small island south of the Trading Port. For the last fire, you will have to go west of Obama. It will be on the coast there. Once you are done with all three, take any boat you want, follow the quest marker, and go to your designated vantage point.

Lastly, after arriving at the location, simply wait there as Yasuke to complete the Dark Waves, Black Ships quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows and collect 1100 XP as a reward. The My Name is Yasuke quest triggers after this.
