The Bola Gun is unlocked once you connect the Government’s Base to the chiral network in Death Stranding 2 Episode 3. This will happen after you complete order 9, delivering the chiral decontaminator to the Government’s Base.

What Is the Bola Gun in Death Stranding 2?

In DS2, the Bola Gun fires strands that bind targets and effectively render them immobile. As mentioned before, you can use it against both human enemies and BTs. It is a non-lethal weapon, meaning you will not have to worry about corpse disposal for any untoward incident. 

A Bola Gun requires 80x Resins and 20x Metals to make. It weighs 2.3 kg and is size S. You get 26 bullets in one clip. It is highly portable and good for the early game. Its usability falls off later on.

Best Ways To Use Bola Gun in Death Stranding 2

You will have to hold L2 to aim and then R2 to fire. Holding R2 changes the wire length with a narrower spread. Keep the following things in mind when using the Bola Gun in Death Stranding 2:

• If you can hit a headshot with the Bola Gun on a human enemy, it’s an instant knockout. If you miss and hit any other part, there’s a chance that the enemy will break free after a while if you don’t knock them out.

• The Bola Gun is non-lethal and silent. Firing it won’t give your position away, unlike the Tranq Sniper Rifle in Death Stranding 2.

• BTs are knocked out by Bola Gun and may break free after a while.
