In Baldur’s Gate 3, the Khalid’s Gift is a unique amulet with a special bonus only for Jaheira in Act 3. Here is everything you need to know.
The Khalid’s Gift
In Baldur’s Gate 3, Khalid’s Gift is a very rare amulet dedicated to Jaheira. If she accompanies you while obtaining the item, she’ll reveal it was a gift from her late husband, serving as a cherished memento. Jaheira, a companion from the previous Baldur’s Gate game, shares a connection with her deceased husband. Khalid’s Gift is a delightful addition for series fans, boasting a unique history. You can equip it to your character’s necklace slot in the inventory, providing additional bonuses and buffs. There are no requirements to equip this item.
The odd gift bonus is dedicated only to Jaheira; she cannot be cursed while wearing it. However, wisdom+1 that extends the attribute cap of 20 to 21 can be a valuable buff for any cleric or druid class. Also, once per long rest, you can cast the aid, the level 3 healing spell that increases maximum health by ten hit points. Those extra points must be drained first before the wearer’s health can be targeted, adding to the character’s survivability.

How to Get the Khalid’s Gift in Baldur’s Gate 3
You can find Khalid’s Gift in the Display Case, hidden behind a bookcase in Jaheira’s Basement, under Elerrathin’s Home (X:-207 Y: -55) in the Lower City, Act 3. You will need a Harp-Shaped Pin to access the basement.
There are two ways to get a Harp-Shaped Pin in Act 3. However, you may have one already if you found it in a pile of viscera in the Oubliette in Act 2.
How to get a Harp-Shaped Pin without Jaheira at your party
Visit the Graveyard and Mortuary located north of Elfsong Tavern. Once inside, explore the numerous caskets and coffins. The Harp-Shaped Pin can be found in the Mahogany Casket next to the window. Since it requires stealing, make sure there are no witnesses around. Alternatively, utilize one of your companions to engage the lady working there in conversation, diverting her attention while you secure the Harp-Shaped Pin.
How to get a Harp-Shaped Pin with Jaheira at your party
If Jaheira is part of your party, acquiring the Harp-Shaped Pin becomes simpler. Head directly to Elerrathin’s Home, her residence, with Jaheira in your group. A cutscene will unfold as her children welcome her. Proceed upstairs and interact with Tate, a small boy in one of the rooms. He will give you the Harp-Shaped Pin.
Find Elerrathin’s Home and Jaheira’s Basement
Locate Elerrathin’s Home (X:-207 Y: -55) and Jaheira’s Basement on the northwest side of Baldur’s Gate Lower City map, near the city entrance. The residence is a sizable house surrounded by greenery, featuring a porch where a child practices martial arts with a training dummy.
If you already possess the Harp-Shaped Pin, head directly to the office. As you approach the desk, your party will automatically pass a perception check, revealing a Pin slot on the desk. Interact with it and insert the Harp-Shaped Pin to unveil a hidden passage leading to the basement.
Disarm The Traps
Continue to the basement, but be cautious, as traps are in place. Disarm them by shifting the chest on the left to another location. This action will release the pressure on the pressure plate concealed beneath the chest, deactivating the runes. Now, you can safely go forward.
Find Hidden Door and Get Khalid’s Gift
Enter into the small cave with a hut. Here, your party will pass an automatic perception check again, unveiling the loose wooden boards next to the wall and a concealed door behind the tall bookshelf. First, disarm the trap beneath the loose floor wooden boards to access the key. Loot the key and use it to unlock the hidden door hidden behind the bookshelf. Alternatively, you can attempt to unlock the bookcase directly. If you successfully pass an 18 DC Sleight of Hand skill check, it will open.
Enter the concealed room in Jaheira’s Basement and unlock the Display Case to obtain Khalid’s Gift. If Jaheira is at your party and your relationship with her is positive, she should not object to you taking the gear and exploring the surroundings. There is also an opulent chest with Staff of the Ram and Belm Sword.
