Clearing out castles in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a major activity, which leads to some of the best loot in the game. All castles are heavily defended with a group of elite enemies, called Samurai Daishos patrolling inside. You must infiltrate each castle and kill every Samurai Daisho inside before you can claim the loot from the Legendary Chest inside.

In this guide, we’ll help you find the Samurai Daisho locations in Shoryuji Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We’ll also explain what rewards are waiting for you if you manage to complete this particular castle.

Samurai Daisho Locations for Shoryuji Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

This castle has three Samurai Daisho patrolling various parts. You’ll have to slay all three to get to the Legendary Chest in the castle. Also, every Diasho you kill will reward you with a Mastery Point. These points are tied to your core character progression, making them highly important.

You can infiltrate the castle using a section where the bamboo fence has fallen over, near the northern entrance and just beside a watchtower. After getting in, use observe mode to mark different enemies. The ones marked with a helmet icon over their head are the Samurai Daishos. The following are their locations:

• Samurai Daisho 1: Just next to the infiltration point we mentioned previously, you’ll discover the first Samurai Daisho.
• Samurai Daisho 2: Go towards the north of the castle and you’ll arrive at a small bridge with three guards patrolling the region. One of these is the second Samurai Daisho of the castle.
• Samurai Daisho 3: Next, head to the northeastern section of the castle. You will come to a cluster of buildings here, and in the middle of them is your next target.

Just east of Samurai Daisho 3 is a building. Make sure to go inside and take down any enemies here. In this building, you’ll find a room with a Kano Painting for you to collect.

All Rewards for Completing Shoryuji Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Once you’ve dispatched all of the Samurai Daishos in the castle, get to the top of the castle keep. There, you’ll find a trapdoor that you can open and enter. Inside, you’ll discover the legendary chest. But beware of the two samurai in the room. The following are the rewards you earn for completing this castle.

• Legendary Chest: Yurei-Walker Robes. When you equip this legendary item, enemies will become less efficient at detecting you from the sounds you make.
• 3x Mastery Points
• 3000 XP
