How To Beat The Interrogator (The Silver Smugglers) in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Here’s a guide on how you can locate and assassinate the Interrogator and his henchmen in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows has a massive world full of main quests, side missions, and activities you can take on. Moreover, there is an objective board with many targets that you can assassinate (or spare). These targets belong to specific groups or organizations, and today we will talk about The Interrogator. He comes from the Silver Smugglers organization, which trades stolen silver for teppos.

To start the objective on the silver smugglers, talk to Hosokawa Fujitaka at Sukyoji Temple, which is southwest of Miyazu Bay in Tamba. Here, you know about the Silver Smugglers and how you have to defeat them to earn Fujitaka’s support. After talking to him, you get the first target on your objective board, the Interrogator. 

However, the Interrogator is still an unknown target at this point, but you are given some clues to find him, which are: 

  • He is in Tamba
  • He is west of Fukuchiyama
  • He is waiting at Onitake Shrine

Players can have a difficult time finding the target with just these clues. Therefore, to reach the target quickly, head to the location shown in the image above to find a dead body. The location is a bit southwest of the Onitake Shrine, which is southeast of Miyazu Bay and west of Fukuzhiyama. 

Follow the stone stairs in front of the body to reach the entrance of a cave. First, you must lie prone and then crawl through the small opening at the bottom of the entrance. Soon, you will arrive at a massive hole leading underground. Jump off the wooden board into the water below. 

Then, climb up and follow the path on the left until you reach another narrow opening that you need to crawl through. On the other side, you will find the target and his men in a large room just below.

How To Beat The Interrogator in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

First, use Observation to mark all the enemies in the room. Your target is in the lowest section, interrogating Fujitaka’s men for information. We recommend using Naoe for this fight, as an assassination can either eliminate the Interrogator or deal massive damage. His henchmen can also be easily taken care of with Naoe striking from the shadows.

Head straight from the cave room entrance and eliminate the first soldier looking down. From here, you have the perfect vantage point for an assassination from above on the Interrogator. Jump and attack him. If you fail to eliminate him in one strike, retreat to a higher section of the cave and take down his two remaining men. They are melee-based enemies, so use kunai from a distance to take them out easily.

Take your time when fighting the Interrogator. He wields a poisoned sword and primarily uses heavy katana swings that cannot be blocked. Use the Kusarigama to attack him from a safe distance. Stay patient, avoid getting hit, and gradually wear down his health. The fight ends once his health reaches zero, and you finish him off.
