How To Beat The Slaver (The Silver Smugglers) in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

The Slaver is one of the Silver Smugglers in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and you can eliminate him to gain rewards and progression points.

Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a massive RPG that features a lot of content, including the main campaign, side quests, and optional objectives. The Silver Smugglers is an organization that steals silver and trades it for weapons, mostly Teppo. There are many such groups in the game that are all part of some sinister plot, and eliminating their members is an optional objective that you can engage in. There are a total of seven members in the Silver Smuggler organization, and all of them will be your targets.

However, in this article, we will talk about only one of them—The Slaver.

How To Find and Kill The Slaver in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To start The Slaver mission, first, you will have to go to Sukyoji Temple and speak to Hosokawa Fujitaka and Yoshisada. They will tell you the situation with the smugglers, and after that, you can start your journey to hunt down every single Silver Smuggler in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Once you have started the side quest, your fifth target will be The Slaver. You can select his mission from your objectives tab.

After that, the game will give you some vague descriptions of the places you should look at. But since that can be frustrating to many players, we recommend that you utilize your scouts as much as possible during this questline.

Infiltrate the Port

A blue marker will appear on the map after you have successfully pinpointed The Slaver’s location. Generally, he can be found on a ship next to the Tsuruga Sea Port in the Wakasa Region. The port will be the easiest way for you to reach the ship; however, it will be heavily guarded. We recommend using Naoe in this mission so you can stealthily clear out the port before heading toward The Slaver.

Infiltrate the Tsuruga Sea Port and take out every single guard there so you won’t have trouble later if you get caught. Additionally, you can take the soldiers out one at a time since the ones outside of the buildings will be scattered and mostly alone. However, the enemies inside the port buildings will be in groups, so you will have to rely on double assassinations or a direct fight.

If you are not confident in Naoe’s combat skills, then you can just assassinate one soldier, run away, wait for the others to stop searching for you, and then go back and kill the other ones.

Take The Slaver Down

Once the port is clear, swim towards the ship docked just northwest of it and climb your way onto it. The Slaver will be on said ship. However, the deck of the ship is naturally quite open, and there will be a lot of soldiers guarding your target. So, we recommend that you stealthily take out as many enemies as possible before it comes down to direct combat. If you are at a high enough level, then you can simply assassinate The Slaver with one shot, but if you are not, then you will have to rely on your primary weapon.

The Slaver has a lot of health, so after the fight begins, take out the lesser enemies first and then focus on your main target. We recommend that you use your active skills as much as possible to deal heavy damage to The Slaver. He will be using a Teppo that works like a shotgun and sets you on fire.

So, the Kusarigama might be the ideal weapon in this situation since you can strike the enemy from a distance with it. From this point onward, the fight is quite simple. Just keep dodging his attacks and chipping away at his health, and The Slaver will eventually die.

Once The Slaver is dead, the optional mission will be complete, and you will receive the following rewards:

• Nanban’s Curse (Epic Teppo)
• 2 Mastery Points
• 2200 XP
