In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, many side activities let you understand the protagonist in depth. Kuji-Kiri is a Naoe-exclusive activity where she sits in a serene location and meditates to calm herself. During Kuji-Kiri, you need to perform a series of quick-time events that appear on the screen to earn EXP and Knowledge Points. Naoe’s House is one of the earliest Kuji-Kiri locations you can access, but through a flashback.

Naoe’s House Kuji-Kiri Location in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Naoe’s House is on the northeastern side of the Iga region, deep in Mibuno Vale. However, you do not have to go there yourself, as Naoe visits her childhood home in a flashback as part of a side quest. You receive the side quest after completing your second Kuji-Kiri. This means you complete this Kuji-Kiri location very early, and it gets marked as completed in the flashback.

How To Complete Naoe’s House Kuji-Kiri in AC Shadows

Right after you complete your second Kuji-Kiri in any location, the game transitions into a flashback scene, with a young Naoe waking up during the time after the first invasion. She starts the Kuji-Kiri soon, and you have to perform quick-time events. There are four buttons that you need to press, and they will appear on screen in four circles.

You have to follow a certain sequence while they appear on screen. Additionally, the speed at which you have to complete the sequence progressively gets faster. The buttons also disappear near the end, which means you have to remember where each of the four buttons is and the rhythm they need to be pressed in. For this Kuji-Kiri, you have to follow this simple sequence:

• Top > Right > Bottom > Left

If the mini-game becomes too difficult and annoying to complete, Ubisoft has included an option to change the mini-game completion to auto. Here’s how you can activate it:

• Options > Gameplay > Quick Time Events > Auto

Doing so won’t impact the story. Moreover, you still get the achievement and trophy related to completing all Kuji-Kiri in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Naoe’s House Kuji-Kiri Rewards

After you complete the Kuji-Kiri in Naoe’s House, you also have to complete the side quest to return from the flashback. Upon completion, you get 500 EXP and one Knowledge Point, which is important for character progression.
