‘This Is Japan Actually’ is one of the easier achievements to acquire in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Not only is it easy to acquire, but it also involves performing fun actions.

The name of this trophy is inspired by a classic scene from the movie 300. The scene involves the protagonist delivering a vicious brogue kick to the opponent straight into a well. He says the iconic line “This is Sparta” when he kicks the person. Assassin’s Creed Shadows gives this line a fun twist by naming it This is Japan.

Requirements for the This Is Japan Actually Trophy in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

The first and most important thing to do for this is to unlock the ability that is needed to perform it, which is the War Kick ability. This ability can only be unlocked by Yasuke, meaning this trophy is specific to this character.

How to unlock the trophy

Approach some enemies to engage in battle after you unlock and assign the ability. To be able to unlock the This Is Japan trophy, you will need to kick an enemy from a higher altitude, resulting in him dropping down to their death. So, the higher the altitude, the more likely they are to die from fall damage.

Travel toward any mountain region with cliffs and lure the enemies toward the edge. Once damaged enough and you feel the timing is right, face the enemies as their backs are towards the edge, and deliver the war kick. Once the enemy falls off the cliff and dies, you will unlock the This Is Japan Actually trophy.
