Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the latest AC game, is packed with various side activities alongside the main storyline. One such activity is romance, which adds an extra layer of depth to the enriched storyline. AC Shadows features several romance options, some exclusive to one of the two protagonists, while others are available to both.

In addition to this, these romance options are available for both same-sex and opposite-sex relationships. However, it is entirely up to you whether you want to indulge in these activities, as they do not impact the main storyline. To initiate the intimate cutscene, select the dialogue option marked with a cupid heart during a conversation with an NPC.

Romancing Hori Hidemasa in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

In AC Shadows, you can romance Hori Hidemasa during the Betrayers quest. In this quest, you will visit Hori at the Miidera Temple, located in the northern Mouth of Seta, Omi region. The key detail is that you must choose Yasuke as the character to romance Hori.

During the Betrayers quest, Hori entrusts you to eliminate seven targets: Endo, Sato Genta, Sato Katsubei, Shigezo, Yoshiko, Fujichika, and Masatoshi. Once you strike down the enemies, return to Hori and inform him of your success. Next, a dialogue box will open with the following options:

• I am the grateful one.
• Meeting you was my reward.

As the second dialogue is marked with a heart, choose this option to trigger a cutscene where Hori offers Yasuke his helmet as a token of remembrance. Following this, they will share an intimate moment, and the quest will end.
