Runescape Dragonwilds has been shadow-dropped as an early access title on Steam, but can you play it on PS Plus?
Jagex shadow dropped Runescape Dragonwilds on early access on Steam to the surprise of fans. The game is set in the same universe as the beloved MMO title. However, the developers added a unique twist to this game. It is an open-world survival title.
With a lot of hype surrounding the game, a lot of fans are wondering if it is available on PS Plus. Unfortunately, Runescape Dragonwilds is not available on PS Plus. It is currently exclusive to Steam for $29.99, for now. This is a predicament that most early access games face. Nonetheless, the game will see a console port once it gets a full release sometime in 2026.
Will Runescape Dragonwilds Be Released on PlayStation or Xbox Consoles?
For console fans who want to jump into the game, yes, Runescape Dragonwilds will be arriving on PlayStation and Xbox consoles in the future. According to Jagex senior community manager Mod Doom via Gaming Interviews on YouTube, the plan is to polish the game and prepare it for a Winter 2026 release. Following this, a console port is soon to follow. However, the exact date or release window is yet to be confirmed.
During the early access period of Runescape Dragonwilds, the developers look to release new content every three months. The content includes new regions, enemies, skills, quests, story lore, equipment, and immersive music. This is on top of performance and gameplay improvements that the game will receive as development goes underway.

What is Runescape Dragonwilds About?
Runescape Dragonwilds is set in the Ashenfall, an unexplored land that is teeming with life. However, the existence of this continent and its inhabitants are threatened by the reawakening of dragons led by the Dragon Queen. It is up to you to stop the dragons from wreaking havoc on the land.
The gameplay of Runescape Dragonwilds works similarly to most open-world survival titles. You get the staple gameplay mechanics like base building, hunting, and farming for resources, crafting tools, and armors. The game also offers a multiplayer mode where you can play with up to three friends and discover the secrets of Ashenfall.
