Monster Hunter Wilds Erik: Character Guide

In Monster Hunter Wilds or MHWilds, Erik is the Astrum Unit’s Handler. This means he is part of the team that includes Olivia, Athos, and Werner.

What Is Erik’s Role in Monster Hunter Wilds Story?

In the first few hours of Monster Hunter Wilds, we see Erik as part of Olivia’s unit in the Scarlet Forest. He’s shown as an inquisitive and energetic character who is deeply interested in flora and fauna. Alma states that she knows of Erik as he was famous back at the Academy.

As we were searching for Doshagum traces in the Scarlet Forest, Erik was able to identify distinctive red florets he found as being of Lala Barina and mentioned its paralytic poison. Being too excited about the creature, he waded ahead alone, got caught by the creature, and was trapped. This leads to our first encounter with the monster. The Hunter (the player character) and Olivia are able to take him out, with the former hunting and killing the Lala Barina.

MHWilds Erik: Quests and Other Interactions

Apart from the Lala Barina section of the MHWilds’ story, we are currently unaware of Erik’s importance to the overall narrative. We will learn more about quests involving Erik in Monster Hunter Wilds once the game launches.

Where To Find Erik in MHWilds?

Erik will likely be found in the base camp (at least in Scarlet Forest) accompanying Olivia. We will know more once the game releases
