Where To Find Imai Sokyu in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

In this guide, we shall go over where to find Imai Sokyu in the Searching Sakai mission in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Following the events of the opening act of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Naoe is now out for blood but just has one lead: the teppo that shot her. With very little information to go on except the weapon of the crime, Naoe heads to Sakai in search of gunsmiths who may have information on the weapon. Along her search for the right gunsmith, she stumbles across a duo discussing fake documents having to do with the merchant Imai Sokyu. 

Imai Sokyu is a powerful individual with direct ties to Nobunaga himself and could be key to finding the perpetrators who shot you. However, finding Imai Sokyu is a task in itself. He is somewhere in Sakai and can be hard to find.

How To Find Imai Sokyu in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

After retrieving the forged documents from the gunsmiths, your objective updates, and you now have to talk to Imai Sokyu. The game states that Sokyu is somewhere in Western Settsu and Southwestern Sakai. Combining these pieces of information together places Sokyu’s location to the southwest of the Sakai Firearm District. This is the district where you were conducting your search earlier. Furthermore, the location points to the southeast of the Money Changer District. Both these locations are marked on your map and are easy to locate. 

Head to the Sakai Firearm District, and with the district logo right in front of you, walk southwest. Follow along in this direction and use Observe to bring forth a blue orb that will mark Imai Sokyu’s location on your screen. If you’re struggling to find the influential merchant’s location, you can also use scouts and “Scout Objective” to mark the exact location on your map, making your task easier. You only have a pool of three scouts to use, however, so we do not recommend using them right away. 

Follow the blue orb, and it will lead you to a modest house. Enter the house through the main door, and you will find Imai Sokyu seated on a table right in front of you. Interact with him to proceed ahead with the quest.
