Some of these methods heal you in the midst of combat, while others are slower, more deliberate methods that require ample preparation. Avowed provides you with a variety of ways to heal in-game. The first, and perhaps most prominent, of these methods is the use of Health Potions. Health Potions are consumable items that heal 70 percent of your maximum HP. These items can also be used in the heat of battle, making them the perfect item to stock up on for difficult areas. You can use a Health Potion by pressing the Z key on the PC or by pressing LB and using the radial action menu on the console.

Consuming food in the game is also a great way to heal. However, you will have to prepare the food in camp before you head into battle. Eating food items such as Mariner’s Porridge, Bleathorn Cheese Wheel, and Stew are great ways to heal and restore anywhere between 50-70 HP.

Lastly, you can amplify healing by using skills from the skill tree. Skills such as the Constant Recovery Fighter skill regenerate 50 percent of the HP you lose. The Built to Destroy skill also helps you restore HP whenever you break a breakable object. Unlock skills and experiment with your build to maximize your healing potential.
