Dismantle gear in Assassin’s Creed Shadows to earn resources for further upgrades and purchases.

In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you will find gears and weapons for your characters in abundance throughout the map. These can be found in the form of rewards for completing certain missions and side quests, inside loot boxes, or even in the form of drops from defeated enemies.
As your in-game level begins to increase, you are more likely to receive loot of higher rarity. But regardless of that, a majority of the loot in the game is of lower rarity. There is no weight limit in the game, meaning hoarding more items will in no way slow down your character.
But who doesn’t like a less cluttered inventory to choose between the items you need? Plus, towards the mid and end stages of the game, keeping less rare items is of no use as the higher-level enemies take more damage to defeat.
Blacksmith and Forge in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To dismantle gear in Assassin’s Creed, building a forge is essential. The forge is one of the many types of buildings you will unlock for your home base as you progress further into the story. First, you need to unlock the hideout system, which will be accessible after finishing Act 1 of the main storyline, particularly the mission ‘The Ways of the Blacksmith.
The hideout is useful for various factors, including customising your base, managing resources, and recruiting allies. The hideout will be located at Lost Hills in the region of Izumi Settsu.
After unlocking the hideout, you will be given a quest by Tomiko to find a blacksmith from Sakai to the east of your hideout. After finding and recruiting the blacksmith, you can now build the forge to house the blacksmith and have him upgrade or dismantle your gear at will.

Why Dismantle Gear in Assassin’s Creed Shadows?

As important as it is to craft new gears and materials in the game, it is also important to dismantle gear in Assassin’s Creed. Dismantling gear will help clear out unnecessary materials from your storage. This will help keep more inventory space available for items, which will aid you in the game.
While selling gear could provide you with mon, dismantling gear would provide you with different crafting materials which you can further use to upgrade other items. Each type of gear you dismantle will give you different types of materials, with higher-tier gear giving you more resources.
