How To Obtain Masamune’s Thorn Tanto in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Masamune’s Thorn is a Legendary Tanto, which can be obtained by looting the Legendary Chest at the Nochiseyama Castle. Completing the castles in Assassin’s Creed Shadows is a great way to expand your collection of legendary items. Nochiseyama Castle is located in the Wakasa, southwest of the Obama region. Head southwest from the Obama Guard Tower to locate the castle. Once you arrive at the castle, prepare for some action to get to the Legendary Chest.
How To Open the Legendary Chest at Nochiseyama Castle in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
In Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you must defeat a certain number of Samurai Daisho within the region to loot the coveted Legendary Chest at the location. Nochiseyama Castle contains three Samurai Daisho, who are marked by a Samurai Helmet icon on the HUD when in close proximity. You can further pinpoint their location using the observe mechanic.
You will find the first and second Samurai in the outer and inner bailey of the castle. Infiltrate the castle’s keep and look at the southernmost end of the castle to find your third and final target. Once you eliminate the three high-rank targets, get to the inner keep of the castle to find the Legendary Chest. Looting the chest grants you Masamune’s Thorn. The legendary Tanto removes two Health Segments with a Double Assassinate, allowing more health recovery.
