The Distant Thunder enchantment bonus will cause all of your power attacks with this weapon to deal high Shock Accumulation. When Shock accumulation reaches max, enemies are inflicted with the Shock condition. This sends out a small shockwave to the target and nearby enemies, interrupting their attacks and functioning as a mini-stun.
Additionally, the second enchantment bonus will give you a +10% Shock Damage boost to all hits or attacks done by this weapon. This builds off of the first enchantment, making all shock damage even more powerful.

How to Get Caeroc’s Pride in Avowed?
You get Caeroc’s Pride by defeating the bounty target named Tempestuous Luandi, who can be found on the northern edge of the island west of Castol’s Folly. This particular island appears to be unnamed on the map but is located within the area of Ondra’s Reach.
Tempestuous Luandi is a powerful boss enemy who deals damage at range with his handgun. He’ll also have a gang of smugglers with him, so don’t just charge in without some perpetration. Make sure you are at the correct or similar level and pre-buff with health and essence regeneration consumables. If you’re a Level 5, you can unlock the Shadowing Beyond ability to sneak up behind Luandi and execute a Divine Thorn strike. It won’t kill him in one hit, but it will take out a chunk of his HP. Save Kai’s Fire and Ire ability for when you are really in trouble and under pressure.
After you have defeated Tempestuous Luandi, you can loot the Caeroc’s Pride pistol from him. He will also and a Luandi’s Glass Eye trophy that you can turn in at the bounty board in Paradis for a reward.
How to Use Caeroc’s Pride in Avowed?
The best way to use Caeroc’s Pride in Avowed is together with another pistol in a dual-wielding Gun Build. You can combine these one-handed pistols with an arquebus on your back bar for some incredibly strong burst damage as a sniper assassin. Furthermore, to get the most out of these weapons you’ll want to unlock passives like Marksmanship, Steady Aim, Sniper, and Critical Strike. All of which can be found in the Ranger skill tree.
Remember, in Avowed, no matter your weapons or playstyle you can unlock any passive in any skill tree. Don’t pigeonhole yourself and get creative with your builds.
Enchanting Caeroc’s Pride in Avowed
Like all other weapons in Avowed, Caeroc’s Pride has two enchantments, with Distant Thunder considered the primary. Moreover, there is an enchantment upgrade system in Avowed, with a crafting station you can use in your camp. However, you can only choose one of two upgrades for the primary enchantment. Also, once you have chosen, you cannot go back and change the upgrade later.
We recommend choosing the Thunder’s Fall enchantment upgrade for Caeroc’s Pride in Avowed. It will work the same way as Distant Thunder, except now power attacks will also deal high Shock Accumulation to nearby enemies. This turns the passive from a single target into an area of effect.
