Saving Ilora is one of the first decisions you have to make during the “On Strange Shores” quest. Ilora is a high-tempered girl locked in a cell on the island. You will be given a choice: whether to free this girl or leave her in the cell.

Should You Free Ilora?
When you first meet Ilora, she gets mad at you, and it would make sense if you left her in the cell. She does not have any significant presence in the story, so leaving her will not change the plot. However, if you free her from the cell, she will help you in fighting the infected Steadman Ralke. This fight can be hard for some people as it’s one of the first boss fights. In order to free Ilora, you have to find the jail key, which can be found in the jailor’s office. However, if you leave her to rot in the cell, she’ll break the cell somehow. Moreover, you’ll have to fight her along with Steadman Ralke. Free her or not, we escape the island using her boat. If you free her, you can have a chat, and after reaching the dock, she’ll go on her way.
Morally, it is a good thing if you save her because the jail outpost has many corrupt officers, and they caught Ilora when she was smuggling. Moreover, there are no consequences anyway, so saving her is going to help you in the game.
