The world of Blue Prince is one shrouded in mystery. Your path to uncovering these mysteries is through exploring the Mt. Holly Manor, uncovering its secrets, and solving puzzles. The secrets and puzzles work in synergy with each other, and you often have to discover new stuff before returning to and solving a puzzle.
As you uncover the various mysteries the Mt. Holly Estate has to offer, you will stumble across a mysterious pair of swim trunks. These swim trunks seem a little out of place, visually contrasting the sober Victorian-era-esque colors of its surroundings. They immediately catch your eye, and when you approach them, you get nothing. The swim trunks are an item in the game, but you can’t really use them. There’s no clue nearby either, and the game gives you seemingly no hints as to what purpose these trunks could serve.
The hint, however, is in the name itself. The name swim “trunks” is clever wordplay that clues you into how to proceed. Since the clue is unlike any other in the game, you may be left confused. The swim trunks spawn multiple trunks near the Pool that you can open to reap rewards.

As stated earlier, the trunks by the pool only spawn in after you find the swim trunks. Once you have found them, head over to the Pool to see the newly spawned trunks. Approach the trunks and use your keys to open them. Interact with the trunk and click on the ‘Use’ button with the key icon to open the trunk. If you’re out of keys, you can also use a sledgehammer to break the trunks open. Since the sledgehammer has unlimited uses, we recommend sticking to this brutish way of opening trunks.
