Marvel Rivals has specific heroes designed to dive into the enemy backline. The sole purpose of these characters is to disrupt the backline Duelists and Strategists so the team can’t focus on the objective. This role is pretty important because otherwise, a good backline support can wreck the enemy team. So, the divers need to be efficient with their assassinations. Not every hero is suited for each team composition.

Let’s take a look at the characters who are efficient in disrupting the enemy backline in most scenarios.

Best Dive Characters in Marvel Rivals

Many heroes on the roster are suited for a diving role. Although there is no solid compartment that separates divers from other roles, a character’s ability kit tells you whether they are suited for diving. Divers tend to have high mobility to escape tense situations and often have abilities that give them an overshield to protect them from getting obliterated while diving or escaping. The best characters to dive the enemy backline are:

  • Spider-Man
  • Venom
  • Magik
  • Black Panther
  • Captain America

Kindly note that this list is not official and is unranked. We have not included “flanking” characters who can flank the enemy backline, use ranged attacks to eliminate opponents, and escape. The list consists of characters who have to get up close and personal with the enemy backline. With that said, if you want an explanation for why each character is on the list, keep reading below.

1) Spider-Man

There was a time in Season 0 when Marvel Rivals players did not know how to use Spider-Man as a dive character. Eventually, everybody realized how effective he was at taking out the enemy backline. When used in correct progression, his kit can devour squishy characters with a simple combo before they have the time to react. Even when they realize what is happening, he can run away pretty quickly.

2) Venom

The Lethal Protector is one of the tankiest characters in the game. Venom has a whopping 800 HP base health. He also deals a lot of damage in a short amount of time and can get in and out pretty quickly despite his big size. In case he is driven to the edge of death, his Symbiotic Resilience ability can help him regain double the amount of the HP lost via bonus health.

When used correctly, you might be able to gain around 2000 HP through this ability! Although it decays pretty quickly, it gives you enough time to confirm a kill or get out using your swinging ability.

3) Magik

There seems to be a consensus among the Marvel Rivals community about how scary Magik players are. To be fair, she is the Limbo Queen. Magik’s kit allows her to assassinate key targets by stalking, planning, and executing.

She does not have impressive basic/passive mobility, but her abilities give her an additional boost to escape tricky situations. Her combo, just like that of Spider-Man’s, can eliminate a squishy opponent without giving them a second chance to react.

4) Black Panther

If Magik is on the team, a Black Panther player will benefit a lot from it through their Team-up ability. She acts as an anchor and allows Black Panther to use the stepping discs and portal 3s back in time. If a Black Panther player can assassinate key targets with precision and quickness, using this ability will help them a lot to escape a tough situation. Although it is tough to truly master the Wakandan King, once you get it right, the enemy backline will never see you coming.

5) Captain America

One of the most annoying Vanguards out there is Captain America. Just like Venom, Steve’s whole kit is about staying alive. He has high mobility. Captain America players can sprint and use the power jump indefinitely.

Although he doesn’t deal a lot of damage, his role as a “mosquito”, buzzing the backline really helps his team because of all the distraction that he causes. Because of his health pool, he is also pretty difficult to eliminate when compared to Duelist divers.
