The gaming community has already come up with some of the best mods for Stalker 2. Read and select which one you would like the most!
Stalker 2 has only been out for a couple of days, and some of the best mods for the game are already floating around. If you haven’t gotten your hands on any of these, we highly recommend you try them out!
We are not criticizing the game that GSC Game World has put out for the players. However, the mods we are about to mention will only enhance your experience by tweaking a few mechanics that you may deem “annoying” in the game.
Kindly note that we are not ranking the list but merely presenting it. Try these out and feel free to let us know in the comments how your experience was.
1. Making Poltergeists and Bloodsuckers Less Tanky
If you have come across a Bloodsucker or a Poltergeist in your gameplay by now, you would agree that both these enemies can make you want to run for your life. They are two of the biggest reasons why you wouldn’t want to venture out into a post-apocalyptic mutated world.
Not only are their powers annoying, making them a nuisance in battles, but their HP is also generous. So, the user Grokitach0 has roughly divided their HPs by 4, making them tank less damage from you and die faster. Fans who don’t wish to waste their ammunition on these abominations can certainly go for this mod.
2. Balanced Difficulties
Players who wish to make their Chornobyl experience even more immersive are welcome to try out this mod. The creator Grokitach0 doesn’t drop the difficulty levels to make the game easier for you. Instead, the mod offers the following tweaks to make things more balanced for you based on which difficulty you are playing:
- Changes weapon damage
- Decreases weapon repair
- Reduces weapon durability damage in Hard
- Increases bleeding power based on difficulty
- Reduces the HP regen based on difficulty
- Increases the consumables costs
3. No Weapon Durability Loss
The weapon durability system adds a layer of realism to the game. However, it may not be enjoyable for everybody. This is probably what user Tacgnolsignol kept in mind when making and uploading this mod for the community. So, if you are somebody who is not enjoying the durability system added to the weapons (and optionally to outfits), you can apply this mod.
Even if you enjoy keeping the durability status on your outfits and weapons, you can reduce it down to 50%. This way, you can stay in the immersion but still take a back seat and not worry as much about accidentally destroying your gear.
4. Faster Backpack
Another mod on the “Best Mods for Stalker 2” list that removes an already-added feature. However, this time, the feature is much more cosmetic. When you access your backpack, you have to sit through a very small animation where Skif whips out the bag and opens it. This is when the window for your inventory shows up.
User pneumohippo has uploaded a mod that will skip this animation so you can seamlessly transition to your inventory by pressing the designated button/key. This will allow for faster access to your backpack.
5. No Aiming-ADS Zoom
When you are in a gunfight against a mutant or another human, dealing with the FOV zoom is annoying when you aim down the sight of your gun. The developers probably added this feature to let you focus on your enemy better. However, it is counter-productive when you are fighting against a mob.
So, user hawkidoki came up with this mod to remove the FOV zoom altogether when you are ADSing with your gun. It is very helpful for players who are not used to having their entire FOV shift when aiming in a game.
This wraps up our list of the best mods for Stalker 2. Try out these creations to customize your experience while playing Heart of Chornobyl.
