LEGO has partnered with a large and varied number of franchises to make their video games. Here are some of them that could be next.

Over the years, LEGO has collaborated with many franchises. These collaborations usually lead to all kinds of sets and figures based on those franchises. However, occasionally, the partnership goes beyond a simple set or two.

Some of the franchises that partner with LEGO have games made on them in the LEGO style. The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and many other franchises have all had LEGO games based on them. There are many other franchises that would be perfect for a LEGO game. Here are 5 such franchises that should have a LEGO game based on them.

1. Terminator

The Terminator franchise is ripe with characters and ideas that would fit perfectly in a LEGO game. The different variety of terminators, iconic characters such as John and Sarah Connor, and sci-fi concepts like time travel would all work together to make one hell of a LEGO game.

There is no shortage of characters within the franchise to work with, and the gameplay could be based around many things, such as the physical and technological prowess of the machines or the time travel that is so intrinsic to the series.

2. Transformers

Transformers is full of storylines, settings, and characters that would work in a LEGO game. Transformers as a franchise began with a toy line, so its not difficult to see how the Autobots and Decepticons could fit in a LEGO game.

LEGO has actually partnered with Transformers before on building kits for Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and other sets as well. As such, the possibility of further partnerships exists, and a LEGO game based on Transformers is not out of the question.

3. Mario

Similar to Transformers, Mario has also worked with LEGO in the past. But the possibilities for such a collaboration have remained woefully underdeveloped. There are more than a few similarities between LEGO and Mario games, and there is more than enough material to make a LEGO game with the franchise.

On top of all this, Mario’s eternal rival, Sonic, has already made his appearance in the game LEGO Dimensions. A fully dedicated LEGO game all to himself would be just what the Italian plumber needs for bragging rights.

4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Ah, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. One of the most iconic and beloved media franchises in the world. The battles between Master Splinter’s four students and the Shredder are the stuff of legends. And these legends would be right at home in a LEGO game.

TMNT has also collaborated with LEGO in the past, so it stands to reason that they could do so again. And of course, let’s not forget that LEGO has made their own ninja- based license, Ninjago. This experience could be put to good use in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game.

5. Ben 10

Ben 10 is a franchise that needs no introduction. It has spawned a slew of video games, comics, toys, collaborations (including with LEGO), and much more. But one thing fans have always wanted from Ben 10 is a game where you can actually play as all of Ben Tennyson’s aliens.

A LEGO game is the perfect fit for such a style of game. Not only could it host all of Ben’s over 60 transformations, their ultimate forms, additional aliens from the reboot, and more, but it could also fit the enormous cast of heroes and villains who exist in the story. But above all else, the ultimate and best argument for a LEGO Ben 10 game, is the existence of Bloxx. Just sign the contract already, Warner Bros.
