Some heroes are OP in Marvel Rivals right now. In this article, let’s discuss the heroes you should ban in ranked matches.

Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 hero shooter game in which you complete various objectives to claim victory. There are so many different strategies to enhance your team’s performance. Out of all, the first thing that comes to everyone’s mind is banning heroes. After achieving a certain rank, you will be able to ban heroes for smooth gameplay.
Season 2 of Marvel Rivals changed many heroes and their playstyles. You might like using a Spider-Man, but a Namor can easily counter you. This is where banning heroes helps.
In this article, we will list five heroes you should ban in ranked matches in Marvel Rivals.
5 Heroes You Should Ban in Ranked Matches
1) Spider-Man

Spider-Man is not some friendly neighborhood hero when he is on the opponent’s team. His kit is very difficult to master, but it’s all worth it in the end. Many high-rank lobbies like to ban Spider-Man to protect their backlines from sudden death. However, there are many counters for him, but even after that, no one can stop a good Spider-Man. He even has the ability to pull enemies off the map; this single ability can be the game-changer of any match.

2) Namor

If you are a dive main and want no one to stop your lurking missions, Namor is the one you should ban. This man controls squids that target enemies ruthlessly. On top of that, he got a new team-up with Hulk and now has a gamma squid. This squid can target enemies from a very good distance and do massive damage. Namor is a nightmare for any dive hero, and you should ban him to cover your tracks.
3) Wolverine

We could’ve picked Iron Fist, but Wolverine is a more formidable tank shredder. This aggressive man is a lurker who likes to lunge on backlines and kill the supports. Aside from that, he does damage based on enemies’ health, so he is the perfect counter for tanks.
Wolverine does not have any good team-up ability, but he does have an ultimate that can group multiple enemies and deal massive damage. Many vanguards use shields as cover, but these shields cannot block melee attacks. The adamantium man only does melee damage, so he is a very good counter for Doctor Strange and other vanguards. If you want to keep your tanks safe, ban this man immediately.

4) Cloak & Dagger

The dynamic duo of Marvel Rivals is best at healing, but you do not want them to be on the opponent’s team. There are many healers in Marvel Rivals, but none of them gets their ultimate as fast as Cloak & Dagger. Cloak has the ability to dodge any fatal attacks using his secondary ability, and it can also save his teammates too. Dagger can heal fast enough to counter many divers.
They do have many counters like Magneto’s and Iron Man’s ultimates, but if they miss, the couple will reign the battlefield. If there are no counters for this duo on your team, ban them before it’s too late.
5) Emma Frost

Yes, we know she just got added to the roster, but Emma Frost is already a very strong vanguard. Her abilities can punish anyone who tries to close in. Moreover, her team-up ability can double the damage dealt by Magneto and Psylocke. This team-up allows both of these heroes to create clones and distract enemies.
Additionally, Emma’s ultimate ability can silence opponents’ ultimates within seconds. We recommend banning her to keep your divers safe from getting grabbed in the battlefield.
