No Man’s Sky 5.50 update will finally introduce the much-awaited Worlds Part 2. This is a continuation of the Worlds Update from last year. It will introduce new types of planets, new terrain generation, and brand-new features. With this update, the developer plans to push their game engine to even greater heights.

Worlds Part 2 promises to add more features without subtracting anything that players love. The sheer amount of content revealed by the developers for this update can be overwhelming to take in all at once. Therefore, in this article, we will go through five major highlights from the upcoming No Man’s Sky Worlds Part 2 update.

This major update will launch players into an entirely new interstellar adventure, pushing the boundaries of what they ever imagined.

With this new update, the devs shared details about new terrain formation. This is a huge improvement from before as the system will now generate sprawling environments, huge mountains, and deep valleys. This will make your adventure to new planets more exciting as you traverse through space and visit new planets that no player has set foot upon before. Players who want to visit new planets and explore each one thoroughly will find the terrain livelier and unique.

Designed as end-game content, these systems will cater to veteran space travelers, with brand-new planets offering unique challenges and discoveries. Among them are Gas Giants, a newly introduced planetary class that brings massive celestial bodies into the universe. With the update, players will have access to billions of new systems and trillions of unexplored planets.

The Worlds Part 2 update introduces a brand-new planetary type, Gas Giants. These colossal worlds, ten times larger than any existing planet in No Man’s Sky, are shrouded in raging storms and feature kilometer-deep oceans. With intense atmospheric pressure, immense gravity, and turbulent skies, each of them is orbited by a cluster of moons.

The massive planets will offer an epic, danger-filled experience for veteran spacefarers seeking their next great challenge in No Man’s Sky.

4) Better Water Mechanics

The Worlds Part 2 update expands upon the oceans. Explore the depths of immense oceans, where sunlight never reaches and darkness dominates. In this eerie abyss, glowing corals provide the only illumination, revealing new underwater terrains and huge marine creatures hidden from the surface world.

With brand-new elements of the lighting system, swimming in the oceans of various planets is never going to feel dull. There are even new fishing achievements and a brand new boss to fight while fishing. The deepwater guardian will sometimes rise from the depths of the ocean. Upon defeat, it will grant the players the Aquarius title.
