Having the best Perks in Dead by Daylight is crucial to winning the game as a Survivor. If you are just starting the game, you will only have 1 Perk Slot accessible. The other three are locked away and unlocked only at Levels 5, 10, and 15.

Moreover, the Perk mechanic centers around General and Unique Perks. While the latter is made available only with specific characters, the General ones can be applied to any character once you get a hold of them through the Bloodweb.

One may believe the Unique perks are superior, based on their rare availability, but General perks are just as important if you wish to become a skilled Survivor.

Today, we will overlook 6 of the best General Survivor Perks in Dead by Daylight which can help you and your friends outplay the Killer and escape the map without stressing too much.

Please keep in mind that there are over 27 General Perks in Dead by Daylight, and we can’t mention all of them on this list. So, we had to narrow it down. Moreover, this list is subject to the writer’s opinions and is made in a ranked order, from the best to the one you may find less useful.

1. Deja Vu

Repairing the generators is pretty much half of the work that a Survivor has to do once the game starts. The catch is that you may have to spend quite some time before it is fully repaired while being aware that a lurking Killer may be nearby.

This Perk reveals the aura of three generators closest to each other at all times. It increases the repair speed of these revealed generators by 4/5/6%, based on what level the Perk has. Since it is a core mechanic in the match as a survivor, it belongs at the top of the list.

2. Spine Chill

Whenever you are close to a Killer, the Survivor’s heart starts beating rapidly. This is a great feature to warn you about what’s to come. But you know what would be better? An alert whenever a killer spots you. This is exactly what this Perk does for you.

If you are in a clear LoS (Line of Sight) of the Killer, Spine Chill will alert you. However, the Killer that spots you has to be within 36 meters. It also lingers for about 0.5 seconds even after you get out of the LoS. On top of that, action speed for everything you do increases by 2/4/6%, based on the level of the Perk.

3. Kindred

If you are a team player, you will benefit from this Survivor Perk while playing Dead by Daylight. Before unhooking a Survivor, you may want to make sure that no Killer is camping close to it. Kindred lets you see the aura of the Killer 8/12/16 meters within the range of the hooked Survivor.

When you are hooked, every other survivor can see each other’s aura for a faster unhooking process. As for when you are not the one hooked, only you will see the aura of the other survivors. It lets you prioritize your decisions. For example, if you are fixing a generator and a friend gets hooked, you can see whether somebody is rescuing them before you abandon your work for them.

4. Resilience

Some Survivors tend to get hit often. It’s not easy being injured and still repairing generators because you are already slow from the hit. However, if you have Resilience equipped, you benefit from the hit. Whenever you get injured, your progression speed increases and you will be more productive.

This is especially useful when you are trying to clutch a match. Those who pair it up with the next Perk will benefit even more as Survivors.

5. Hope

Are you the only one left on the map and are being ruthlessly hunted? Get injured once and boost your speed with the help of Resilience. Now that you have unlocked the doors using your increased progression, it’s time to make a run for it and Hope lets you do exactly that.

Once the exit gates are open, you permanently gain a 5/6/7% Haste Status Effect. You can now successfully loop Killers around if that’s something that you are worried about. You should be able to outrun slow Killers who are not smart enough to understand your move. It can also be a team Perk that grants your mates the perfect opportunity window to escape.

6. We’ll Make It

We know what you must be thinking. Usually, one would place this Perk higher on the list, but we have our reasons. The only reason “We’ll Make It” is last because it is highly altruistic, and not everybody likes to play that way. We encourage teamwork in an asymmetrical survival game like DBD but that’s not everybody’s cup of tea.

Once you rescue a fellow survivor off the hook, you would want to heal them properly. As you are nursing them back to full health, this Survivor Perk activates in Dead by Daylight. It allows you to do your healing job incredibly faster. After all, a healed survivor is a more efficient teammate.
