Powered by Unreal Engine, the game delivers top-notch visuals and detailed graphics. The modding community has already done a fantastic job of creating graphics mods for Black Myth: Wukong, so here is an overview of the best ones to try.

1) Fix Tint and Exposure
As the name suggests, the Fix Tint and Exposure mod removes unwanted tint from the game. It gets rid of the washed-out look without any compromise in performance. Since it removes the tint irrespective of the color tone, using it will make your screen a little dark. That’s not an issue though as you can fine-tune the adjustments and get rid of the darkness.
2) Better Shadows Tweak – Force Unreal Virtual Shadows
The Virtual Shadow Maps of Unreal Engine 5 delivers high-resolution shadows in games. The Better Shadows Tweak – Force Unreal Virtual Shadows mod forces the game to use the UE5 Virtual Shadowmap instead of the in-game shadow maps. This is a must-try one if you are not using ray tracing in the game.
3) Better Volumetric Fog
The Better Volumetric Fog mod makes the game’s ambiance more realistic and immersive by adding high-quality volumetric fog to the environment. It enhances the fog and mist effect of the game using light transmission, smoke, steam, and dust effects. However, this mod demands a higher-end PC.
4) Simple Realistic For Black Myth Wukong
The Simple Realistic For Black Myth Wukong mod adds a simple custom shader for players to make the game look more realistic and immersive. It is quite user-friendly. Along with providing better shading and detailing, it makes the screen brighter by increasing the global lighting effects. The mod enhances the game’s vibrancy and sharpness. Do note that it may not work properly when combined with other mods.
5) Enhanced Wukong Visuals
As the name suggests, the Enhanced Wukong Visuals mod enhances the visuals of the game by enabling a few post-processing effects and disabling a few. It enables anisotropic filtering, which adds depth and sharpness to distant objects’s textures. On the other hand, it disables fog, depth of field, lens flare, and bloom, among other effects.
6) Downgraded Wukong Visuals
From the name of it, you may have already guessed that this mod is the opposite of the Enhanced Wukong Visuals mod. The Downgraded Wukong Visuals mod focuses on performance. It downgrades the game’s visuals to achieve almost 50 FPS more than usual.
The Downgraded Wukong Visuals mod comes with three presets. You can choose the one suited to your system and preferences. If you are willing to compromise on the visuals and graphics for the sake of performance, then try this mod.
7) BMWK – SPF Redux
The BMWK – SPF Redux mod is specifically designed for lower-end systems as it improves the game’s performance by tweaking the graphics settings. If you want to remedy poor performance without compromising the visuals, then try this one. It reduces the loading time, optimizes the CPU and GPU, and reduces memory-related issues.
