What are the best fire-type Pokemons in these games? (Source: Nintendo)

Despite the fact that both Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are two different games, finding the best fire-type Pokemons in the games isn’t that complicated. All credit goes to the majorly similar Pokedex that both these games have. However, this wasn’t an easy list to prepare. We love all Pokemons just the same, but we had to pick our favorites based on the best overall stats that each of these Fire-type Pokemons have.

KINDLY NOTE that the list we are about to present you with contains the writer’s subjective opinion and is not ranked in any way.

1. Iron Moth

Long-term Pokemon fans can appreciate Iron Moth if they are used to loving Volcarona, and they are related, in a way. Iron Moth is a Paradox variant of Volcarona, and both feature a similar design as a result. Both of them have similar stats, although Iron Moth has a better distribution overall. The Paradox-mon is a great Fire-type because it also is a Poison-type Pokemon and only has one weakness, and that is Ground. Moreover, Iron Moth’s best Fire-type STAB move is Fiery Dance, which allows it to maintain its offense effectively.

2. Chi-Yu

We have all sorts of unique picks for this list. After a bug, we now have a Dark/Fire-type fish Pokemon. Chi-Yu not being primarily a Water-type is hilarious in an ironic way. However, you will stop laughing when you realize that this adorable fellow can deliver some Special Attacks and also has the Beads of Ruin ability to reduce his opponent’s Special Defense by a full quarter. You can switch between Fire and Dark type Abilities based on your needs. He is on the list for being a versatile Fire-type who can help out with enemies effectively.

3. Skeledirge

This one is a Fire/Ghost-type Pokemon who happens to be a reptile. He has a 110 Special Attack that can enhance his Torch Song ability to deal decent damage. He is not bad at all but is surely not the best Fire-type out there either if you don’t like Ghost-type Pokemon. However, if you’re searching for the top choice in the Fire-type category, let us tell you that he has Fire Blast and Overheat attacks, which have power levels of 110 and 130, respectively.

4. Chandelure

As part of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Teal Mask DLC. Chandelure brings impressive stats to the table, and he might also be good in many team comps because he appears to be pretty versatile. You first have to catch a Litwick, evolve it into Lampent, and then evolve it into the Special Attack all-star Chandelure. You can use the Dusk Stone to get this done and then use Chandelure in your matches to fully tap into its power.

5. Volcarona

This Pokemon is a rare find in Scarlet and Violet (Source: Nintendo)

Volcarona is a threat in competitive battles and is a prominent Sp. Attacker. He has a 550 base stat and 135 Special Attack. Often considered to be pseudo-legendary Pokemon, Volcarona is a rare find in Scarlet and Violet. The main weakness to look out for in Volcarona is Rock-type opponents because they can knock him out almost instantly.

6. Ceruledge

Ceruledge is one of the most stylish-looking critters out of all the Fire-types in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. However, this is not the reason why he is on the list. As a Fire/Ghost hybrid, he is definitely a fun Pokemon to have. This can also be a drawback if you personally don’t prefer a Ghost-type in general.

This critter can use Flare Blitz, Shadow Claw, Swords Dance, and Close Combat to ensure that its enemies get a taste of defeat quickly. It won’t always be easy to make quick work of enemies with this one since he is not so heavily dependent on his Fire abilities. But you can surely have fun with the new combos.

7. Armarouge

We will close the list off with Ceruledge’s alternate evolution, Armarouge. This Pokemon has overall stats that can ensure that he maintains his position on the list of the best Fire-types. Unfortunately, he is weak against many types, including Ground, Rock, Water, Dark, and Ghost. However, the best part about him is that he is pretty resistant to the other seven remaining types. It also has a base stat total of 525, which is not bad to have at all.
