Everything you need to know about the Himalayas Adventure Book locations in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and how to unlock them.
Despite its linear structure, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is still filled with plenty of opportunities for exploration and discovery. Although the game isn’t an open world per se, its missions do feel inspired by the genre. Like any other open-world game, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle does feature plenty of collectibles.
The collectibles in developer MachineGames’ latest title aren’t significant for the main story. However, these collectibles do flesh out certain character backstories as well as the history of the different locales you get to visit in the game. One such collectible that you can obtain in Indiana Jones is the Adventure Books.
While most of the collectibles offer nothing more than information on characters and the world, the Adventure Books are different. The Adventure Books are the only collectibles in the game that offer tangible gameplay benefits. Essentially, the Adventure Books allow you to unlock certain ability upgrades for Indy. What Are Adventure Books in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
The Adventure Books are essentially upgrade manuals for Indiana Jones’ combat or stealth traits. Adventure Books in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle work quite similarly to Alan Wake 2’s Manuscripts or Words of Power. Like how in Alan Wake 2, you unlock upgrades via Manuscript or Words of Power, the Adventure Books in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle allow upgrading certain aspects of Indy’s combat repertoire.
Although you can go through the entire game without these upgrades, the Adventure Books do help a lot in certain stealth or combat scenarios. This is especially true for some of the late-game encounters.
Adventure Book Location in the Himalayas
The Himalayas is a relatively short locale, with limited exploration and secrets. However, there’s still one Adventure Book that you can unlock in the Himalayas. The Adventure Book you’re looking for here can be found near the Radio Room. Essentially, the Adventure Book can be picked up from the room in the southern part of the ship.
You will find the room right after the very first encounter with the Nazis. Once you dispatch all the Nazis, you will be able to explore the opening part of the ship freely. Simply make your way to the southern part of the vessel, and you will come across the Adventure Book, sitting on the desk in the corner.
We highly recommend picking the Adventure Book in order to get an extremely useful upgrade right at the start of the game. The Adventure Book found in the Himalayas increases the damage dealt by the two-handed firearms. Basically, with this upgrade unlocked, all firearms save for the pistol will deal bonus damage, making it easier to get past some of the toughest combat scenarios. Do note that the upgrade costs 775 points to unlock.
