Breeding in Palworld: Step-by-Step Guide

In Palworld, you can breed any two Pals regardless of their species. However, the pair should consist of one male and one female. Additionally, you need a cake to start the breeding process. You need to get a breeding farm in your base to breed Pals, and an incubator to hatch the egg. Let’s get through the complete breeding process step-by-step.

Building Breeding Farm

The first and foremost step for breeding in Palworld is to build a breeding farm in your base. If you have reached level 19, you can unlock the blueprint for breeding farms via the Technology menu.

Once unlocked, build the breeding farm with 100 wood, 200 stone, and 50 fiber. Be sure to clear some space in your base for the farm as it requires large space.

Selecting the Parent Pals

Now, we have the breeding farm ready, our next task is to choose the parent Pals. You can breed any two pals regardless of their species, which creates thousands of combinations. Use the Palbox to spawn the male and female Pals to your base, which you are about to breed.

Approach these Pals and press the lift key to pick up them. Carry these creatures to the breeding farm and throw them towards the haystack at the farm one at a time. In this way, the male and female Pals are assigned for breeding.

Making a Cake and Placing in Breeding Farm

After preparing the Pals for breeding, you need to place a cake on the wooden chest in front of the breeding farm. You need 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs and 2 Honey to prepare a cake.

Once you have all the required materials, prepare the cake using the Cooking Pot, which can be crafted with 20 Wood, 15 Ingot, and 3 Flame Organ. Get the cake to the breeding farm, and place it inside the wooden chest in front of the farm to initiate the breeding process.

Placing the Egg in the Incubator

The last step of the breeding process is hatching the egg. Upon successful completion of the breeding process, an egg will spawn at the farm. Pick up the egg and place it on the Egg Incubator, which hatches a new offspring.

The resulting offspring species depends on the species of the parent Pals. Breeding two same species Pals will hatch a creature of the same species as the offspring, whereas cross-breeding different species will create more rare and unique Pals.
