Try out these best GTA 5 weapon mods to keep gunfights and combat fresh for you in all scenarios. Don’t uninstall without trying these!
There have been countless GTA 5 mods over the years. It’s difficult to pinpoint which ones are the most fun to tamper with. However, in my opinion, weapon mods let us take the gameplay experience to whole new heights. This is especially true if your idea of having ‘fun’ in Los Santos is running and gunning the NPCs everywhere.
So, the next time you go on your mayhem streak, make sure that you have at least one of these mods installed. This is to ensure that your combat experience is as fun and enhanced as possible.
Kindly note that we can’t include all the weapon mods out there in this list. But the ones that we have added are subjective to the writer’s opinion and are not ranked in any way.
1. Max Payne 3
Combining two Rockstar games is a brilliant idea for a mod. Max Payne’s last installment, which was developed by Rockstar, had a much-beloved Glock with an extended magazine. However, the latter is an attachment in this GTA 5 mod and is also fully-animated. Olanov replaced the M9 default pistol in the base game. Combine it with Michael’s bullet time ability if you truly miss Max Payne 3.
2. Weapons Attachment Mod
There are many weapon attachment mods available for GTA 5, but this one is a bit special. What metroidguy did was tweak the mod in such a way that all the attachments can now be applied to each vanilla weapon. You don’t have to use weapon-specific attachments anymore. This can help change your gameplay greatly and make it much more fun to wreak havoc in Los Santos.
3. Real Flamethrower
It is surprising to realize that GTA 5 vanilla doesn’t already have a flamethrower. The only way to spread fires during your rampage is by using throwables like Molotov Cocktails. So, this new mod by OHMYMODZ gives us the freedom to explore how a real flamethrower would have worked in GTA 5. And honestly, it doesn’t look bad at all. The details on how the flame works are pretty impressive.
4. Colored Weapon Wheel
At last, we can add colors to the game’s weapon wheel! For a game that has a pretty interesting color palette, the weapon wheel severely lacks colors. So, make things a bit interesting for yourself while choosing which equipment you want to cause mayhem with. Although it is only usually open for a few seconds, the colors can make a real difference for you by making even a simple task feel more fun and less bland.
5. Realistic Weapon Sounds
Military-oriented games like Insurgency Sandstorm, Call of Duty, and Battlefield usually aim to provide the most realistic gun sounds in their games. This is because of the atmosphere that they are trying to create. It brings more immersion into play. While GTA 5 does not lack good weapon audio, it is certainly not that close to realism. If you are somebody who aims for this kind of realism in terms of audio, try out this mod that XENORT, 420X420, MaoBO, and ThisIsntMyName created together. Players will have access to new firing sounds that claim to be more ‘realistic’ and also have more ‘realistic’ reload sounds.
