Can You Carry Over Chrono Tokens to the Next Season in Marvel Rivals

Chrono Tokens is one of the currencies in Marvel Rivals. But can you carry them over into the next Season after Season 0 is over?

Chrono Tokens are one of the in-game currencies in Marvel Rivals. The game currently has three of these in-game currencies that you can spend. These are Lattice, Units, and Chrono Tokens. The three of these are yellow, blue, and purple-colored, respectively.

They are obtained in different ways. For example, Lattice is the “premium” currency in the game and can only be obtained through real-world money, with a few exceptional cases. Units, on the other hand, can either be bought using Lattice or earned by completing achievements.

Chrono Tokens are complicated. You earn them by completing Challenges on your Home Screen and in the Events tab. These can be Daily Challenges, Weekly/Monthly Challenges, or even certain Seasonal Event Challenges. But can you buy them?

When you open the Challenges window or head to the Events tab, you can see your Chrono Tokens on the top bar beside Lattice. Click on the purple currency here, and you will see a pop-up allowing you to spend Lattice for Chrono Tokens. This is related to carrying over the Tokens.

Marvel Rivals’ Chrono Token Decision Might Disappoint You

Chrono Tokens get refreshed each season! However, the ones you purchased using Lattice will be carried over. The official Dev Diary from NetEase revealed the same. The system is a bit complex, so let’s break it down for you:

You are supposed to use these tokens to buy things in the Battle Pass that are not readily given to us. So, when the new season hits, however many tokens you have left will be automatically redeemed. This means that the game will use a priority system to buy whatever you hadn’t bought until then. If the balance becomes insufficient, no more automatic redemption will take place.
If you have some tokens left with you even after manual/automatic redemption, they won’t be carried over into the new season, and the balance will be refreshed to 0.
Only the Chrono Tokens that you bought with Lattice will be retained and sent to you via mail when the new season begins. So, for example, if you have 1500 tokens right now, 1000 of which you bought using Lattice, and there was no automatic/manual redemption, you will receive 1000 tokens in your mail after the refresh update. In case the redemption took place and you had a 500 balance, those will be sent to your mail after the update.
Let’s assume that you didn’t use the remaining Lattice-bought tokens in the next season. The game will then carry them forward to the season that comes later, after automatic redemption, of course. This will maintain the token tally.
We suggest that you go over the Battle Pass thoroughly to redeem items as per your own priority. We say this because the automatic redemption might “waste” your tokens.
