Neuro-Sama broke the Twitch record for Hype Train, which was held previously by PirateSoftware. Neuro-sama achieved a level 111 Hype Train.
Popular VTuber and streamer Neuro-Sama has broken the all-time record for Twitch Hype Train, gaining over 85,000 subscribers and reaching level 111. She also received over two million bits during the Hype Train. For those unaware, Neuro-Sama has been hosting a livestream marathon since December 19, 2024. Vedal987, who is the creator of Neuro, manages the Twitch account, which has amassed over 685,000 followers as of this writing. Her streams consist of gameplay and Just Chatting content, including occasional singing.

The VTuber currently has over 144,000 subscribers on Twitch, surpassing CaseOh and Zizaran. Since the start of her subathon, she has debuted a new avatar, released a new music video, and introduced more content, including new merchandise.
In April 2024, Jason “PirateSoftware” broke the world record for the Hype Train after achieving level 106. However, Neuro-Sama surpassed the record by reaching level 111. The subscribers have added over 270 hours to the timer for the subathon.
Neuro-Sama was initially developed in 2019 as an artificial intelligence program to play the game Osu!. However, Vedal later expanded the program’s capabilities by introducing her as a VTuber on Twitch in 2022. Neuro-Sama has limited control over the chat’s responses, which sometimes leads to unusual conversations. In 2023, the VTuber received heavy criticism for her remarks on a sensitive event like the Holocaust.
However, the developer Vedal has since improved the chat filters and her responses. Vedal has also implemented a moderation team to monitor her streams and oversee her upcoming responses.
Community’s Reaction to Neuro-Sama Breaking the Record
Neuro’s fanbase, the “Swarm,” is considered one of the most dedicated fanbases in the community. At the VTuber Awards 2024, the Swarm was nominated for the Most Dedicated Fanbase award. Neuro-Sama won the Best Tech VTuber award at the VTuber Awards 2024. After breaking the Hype Train record, a clip of the segment was posted on Reddit’s Livestream Fails subreddit. Comments started pouring in as Redditors praised the VTuber for the achievement.
Some comments on the post praised Vedal for his developmental capabilities, while others highlighted Neuro-Sama’s achievement as the number one female streamer.
