Marvel Rivals features your favorite Marvel heroes, villains, and anti-heroes duking it out in a 6v6 hero shooter while flaunting cool and vibrant abilities. This flashy spectacle is made greater by the gorgeous maps where the matches take place, all ripped straight out of the pages of their respective comic books. The Sanctum Sanctorum is the latest map making its way to Marvel Rivals and it is a beauty.

This iconic location made its first appearance in Strange Tales #110 in 1963 and has since become associated with Dr. Strange and the sorcerers of the Marvel Universe. The location is faithfully recreated in Marvel Rivals, with the devs keeping the meta in mind. This brings the question: What is the best team composition for the Sanctum Sanctorum? We’re here to answer.

Best Team Setup for the Sanctum Sanctorum Map in Marvel Rivals

The ideal team composition on any Marvel Rivals map sees the roles split 2-2-2, meaning you have two Vanguards, two Duelists, and two Strategists. We shall keep this setup in mind when sharing the best composition for the Sanctum Sanctorum map in Marvel Rivals.

Vanguard Setup for Sanctum Sanctorum in Marvel Rivals

Starting off with our Vanguard setup, we will first pick Dr. Strange. Strange was one of the best picks in Season 0 and continues the momentum forward on his home turf. The character is best when anchoring for the team and protecting them with his shields. The shield’s ability to block ultimates is a godsend and one you want by your side. Despite the nerfs to his Maelstrom of Madness and Gamma Maelstrom, Strange continues to be a powerhouse and is a must-pick.

Venom, too, fits into the map perfectly. His ability to swing around and cling to walls and ceilings can induce terror and chaos in the opposition. The wall-climbing, especially, is very apparent on this map. His Symbiotic Resilience shield has been buffed this season too, making him a no-brainer for this map.

Duelist Setup for Sanctum Sanctorum in Marvel Rivals

For Duelist, the first character we recommend bringing is Iron Man. Iron Man was one of the best characters last season and is virtually untouched this season. Stark holds heavy DPS potential with his Repulsor Blasts and Unibeam and can pick fights from whatever range he pleases. His Hyper Velocity lets him jump into fights, wreak havoc, and escape at a moment’s notice. His ultimate is one of the best and allows you to punish any team that clusters together in the Sanctum Sanctorum.

In addition to Stark, we also recommend bringing in the Punisher. The Punisher is simple to pick yet highly versatile. As you go around the giant mansion, you will find plenty of opportunities to pick up short-range fights. These fights, with the Punisher’s shotgun, are stacked in your favor. Should the enemy try to escape, you can punish that too with the Punisher’s rifle.

Strategist Setup for Sanctum Sanctorum in Marvel Rivals

Invisible Woman is the new character making her debut in Marvel Rivals, and she has already climbed up the ranks to be one of the best Strategists in the game. Her Orb Projection ability holds an absurd 30-meter range and can phase through both enemies and teammates alike. This means if you position well, an opportunity will be given to you by Sanctum Sanctorum’s hallways, where you can both heal teammates and deal damage to opponents. Her Guardian Shield, too, is very useful in the heat of battle.

The other Strategist we recommend bringing in is Rocket Raccoon. Rocket is good-ol-reliable and highly versatile. His ability to revive teammates is always useful and can heal teammates while avoiding the heat of battle. If cornered, however, Rocket is more than capable of holding his own and can use his machine gun in a pinch.
