This Phasmophobia 2025 Roadmap guide covers all the potential future updates planned and revealed by Kinetic Games.
Kinetic Games’ psychological multiplayer horror game Phasmophobia has come a long way since its early access launch in 2020. While the game remains in early access, the developers are striving hard to make it more enjoyable and innovative for every player. Over the years, Phasmophobia’s unique features and mechanics have kept players engaged, and the community active and fresh.
As we step into 2025, players are eager to know what they can expect in Phasmophobia in the coming year. Although Kinetic Games has not released the official 2025 Roadmap for Phasmophobia, let’s explore the possible future updates planned for the horror game.
Phasmophobia 2025 Roadmap Updates
As the Phasmophobia 2025 Roadmap has not been officially made until now, this article includes the potential future updates planned by Kinetic Games based on their Happy Holidays – Development Preview #18.
The [REDACTED] Update
The next major update is tentatively titled “The [REDACTED] Update,” with no information about the release window revealed. However, it is expected to be a big update with a lot of new changes and features, with the developers revealing a little about two of them.
- The Photos page on the Journal is getting replaced with a new section called “Media,” offering new ways to earn extra rewards. Alongside capturing “Unique” photos and videos using Photo Cameras and Video Cameras, you can also use the new equipment—Sound Recorder, to record sounds and store them in the Journal. Capturing and recording any media fills up the journal pages and rewards huge money and XP at the end of a contract.
- As mentioned above, the developers are adding a new equipment item called a Sound Recorder to hunt down and record unique paranormal or other interesting sounds. Stay within range using the device’s visual indicators to record the sound automatically. Once recorded, you can replay the sound via the Journal. The equipment comes with three tiers.
Bleasdale Farmhouse – Rework
Next up, the developers have revealed the reworks on several rooms of the Bleasdale Farmhouse.
- Dining Room: The Dining Room is slightly larger with a huge table in the center, containing various items for plates and ghosts to throw around.
- Living Room: Areas for hiding and ghost activities are expanded with a large fireplace, a grand piano, and plenty of seating. Getting past the double doors leads you to a decking area and a new playable garden.
- Tea Room: The Tea Room has cakes, snacks, and sweet treats. The plates on the walls feature photos of pets. The room was designed for perfect looping against ghosts.
- Trophy Room: Going upstairs to the left leads you to the new Trophy Room filled with various artifacts and collections. The room also serves as the waypoint for the Master Bedroom and the Master Bathroom.
Grafton Farmhouse – Rework
The Development Preview #18 also revealed that Grafton Farmhouse is getting a rework. However, the developers didn’t reveal much about Grafton Farmhouse like they did with Bleasdale Farmhouse. They shared an image teasing the reworks focusing on the outdoor space with the chicken coop.
Moreover, it is also expected that Kinetic Games will launch special holiday events during Easter, Halloween, and Christmas, following their pattern each year.
