The $129.99 Civilization 7 Founders Edition is worth the purchase, but only for diehard fans of the series.
After a nearly decade-long wait, Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 is right around the corner, and fans cannot contain the hype. The game is available for pre-order, and many are rushing to purchase it. For those who want to play the game early, 2K Games is releasing the Deluxe Edition and the Founders Edition, which grants Advanced Access.
With the Advanced Access, one can play Civilization 7 a whole five days early on February 6, 2025. To make these premium editions seem more enticing, they are also jam-packed with a plethora of content. The Civilization 7 Founders Edition, in particular, has a lot of content promised at launch with more to be added later. However, with a price tag of $129.99, is this edition even worth it? Well, it is, but only for diehard fans of the series.
What Does Civilization 7 Founders Edition Include?
The Civilization 7 Founders Edition comes packed with content. Apart from the base game, the Founders Edition gives you early access to Civilization 7, meaning you get to play the game early and before anyone else. Apart from this, the edition includes a variety of content packs. These content packs include new leaders, costumes, civilizations, palace skins, and so much more. The Founders Edition includes:
- Tecumseh and Shawnee Pack
- The Crossroads of the World Collection, with post-launch content featuring two new leaders, four new civilizations, four new Natural Wonders, a special cosmetic, and much more that is yet to be announced.
- The Right to Rule Collection, with post-launch content featuring two new leaders, four new civilizations, four new wonders, a special cosmetic, and a lot more that is yet to be announced.
- Deluxe Content Pack (two leader personas, four profile customizations, and one alternate scout skin).
- Founders Content Pack (two leader personas, four profile customizations, one fog of war tile set, and one Founders palace skin)
With this content pack, you’re sure to have plenty of variety while playing the game, giving you hours more worth of content. Furthermore, more content will be added down the line to ensure that you get your bang for your buck.
To make this edition even more special, 2K Games are only selling it till February 28, 2025, after which it shall not be available for purchase. The edition is special, and worth its price for diehard fans of the series. New players looking to jump in, however, would not find much value in the title.
