Palworld boasts a massive world filled with Pals for you to find. The game lets you live out all of your Pokemon trainer fantasies while also giving you cool weapons. But capturing a Pal of your liking is only the beginning. Once you do so, you have to manage your Pals, put them to work, and also ensure that they stay happy. If your Pals are unhappy, this reflects on their work, and your base could become a shoddy workshop if things aren’t taken care of. This is where Palworld’s Sanity meter comes into play, and it is a great tool that provides an outlook on your Pal’s performance. If you don’t know what Sanity is or what it represents, this guide should be of help.

What Is Sanity?

Sanity in Palworld is a measure of your Pal’s happiness. Much like in real life, a happy Pal is efficient at work. But as happiness drops and stress increases, the Pal becomes inefficient, slowing down your base. The Sanity (SAN) in Palworld helps you measure your Pal’s happiness, ensuring that they keep working efficiently. If the Sanity drops, however, they become slow and sloppy, and the time taken to complete any task increases.

Sanity drops occur for various reasons, but the most prominent of them is overworking. Make sure that your Pals are well-fed and not overworked to keep their Sanity in check.

How To Increase Pal Sanity?

Since your Pal’s Sanity directly correlates to their performance at the base, it is vital to keep the Pal’s Sanity in check at all times. Checking the Pal’s Sanity is pretty simple. You can check Pal Sanity by opening the Palbox and clicking on the Pal you need to check up on. This will open a small window with their name and other details on it. Here, you will find the SAN indicator right under the HP and Food meters.

If your Pal’s Sanity drops too low, the game notifies you. You can then make beds for them to rest and sleep on, create hot springs, or feed them to increase their Sanity. Medicine works like a charm too, and so does some moral support in the form of praise.
