1. Adjust Your Scope’s Zoom Levels
Properly zoom into your target. Marking a target with your sniper scope or binoculars will reveal their distance. Based on the distance, you need to adjust your sniper scope zoom. Use scroll up to zoom in when playing on mouse and keyboard. If you are using controllers, use ‘Up’ on the directional d-pad to zoom in. Press Q and E on the keyboard to further adjust your scope. You can get the same functionality with the right and left d-pads on controllers.
2. Hold Your Breath
The game also has a mechanic which allows you to hold the character’s breath before firing the shot. This gets rid of any kind of trembling and focuses the shot further. Pressing the spacebar on the keyboard and the left trigger/right button on your controller will allow you to hold your breath just before shooting. Keep in mind that the character can hold his breath for just a few seconds.
Also, as soon as you hold your breath, the reticule in the scope will display a white diamond indicator. Wait for this indicator to turn for the shot to be locked in. Then, take the shot.
