Warbonds in Helldivers 2: What Are They?
To put it simply, Warbond is the name for the battle pass system within Helldivers 2. Through the use of this system, you will be able to unlock all of the armors and weapons in the game. So, if you want to get some of the best primary weapons in the game, you will need to invest in Warbonds.
To access the Warbond menu, you need to be on your ship. If you are playing on PC, you can press R to open this menu. On PS5, simply press and hold the square button. From this menu, you can choose to purchase the different Warbonds available at the time.
You have to spend Super Credits to purchase the Warbonds. These Super Credits can be earned by playing the game, or you can spend real money to acquire some. However, keep in mind that you can unlock all weapons and armors within each battle pass only by spending medals. Medals are a form of in-game currency that you earn when you complete Personal Orders and various missions. So, you cannot buy medals with real money.
Pro Tip: When starting the game for the first time, make sure to claim the free Warbond, named Helldivers Mobilize. This is available to all players.
Different Sections for Warbonds
The developers have categorized Warbonds in Helldivers 2 into different sections. These include the following:
- Weapons
- Armors
- Emotes
- Player Cards
- Boosters
- Super Credits
There are multiple pages in the Warbonds menu. With each subsequent page, the medals required to unlock those Warbonds also increase. So, the Warbonds on page 10, for instance, will cost substantially more to unlock than the Warbonds on page 2.
What Are Premium Warbonds in Helldivers 2?
You can also unlock Premium Warbonds in the game. There are several of them available currently, and each of them costs a whopping 1000 Super Credits to purchase. But they hide some of the most powerful items in Helldivers 2. If you want to get all of them in a hurry, you will need to purchase the required Super Credits with real money. Otherwise, you can farm Super Credits by completing in-game missions, although this can take a significant amount of time.
