Civilization 7 is a strategy game that sees you managing and handling several bases, units, currencies, and much more. Units, in particular, are an important part of your strategy. These are groups or factions of NPCs that can move around the map as and when needed and do a variety of tasks for you. Sometimes, they end up taking damage, and you have to heal them before you lose them.
Healing units in Civilization 7 is fairly simple, and the game does not tell you how to do so. This is doubly baffling because the game is overloaded with various tutorials at the start. So, if your units are low on health and you’re looking to heal them, our guide has you covered. In this guide, we shall go over how to heal units in Civilization 7.
How To Heal Units
There are multiple ways you can go about healing your units in Civilization, but we shall begin with the most basic of the ways. Follow the steps below to heal your units:
- Click on the unit that needs to be healed. This will bring up the unit’s options menu, which will be on the bottom right corner of your screen. This menu gives you all the details regarding your unit.
- In the unit’s options menu, click on the grey arrow on the left. This will expand the tray and bring forth a new set of options to choose from.
- Out of the four options available, click on the “Heal” option on the top left. A small heart and moon icon represents the “Heal” button.
- Selecting the “Heal” option will let your units rest until they’re fully healed.
- Alternatively, you can select the unit you wish to heal and press ‘H’ to do the same thing. The ‘H’ key acts as a shortcut key for the “Heal” function in Civilization 7.
If you’re in the midst of battle, you won’t have room to just sit and recover HP. In such a situation, you can heal your units by skipping a turn. You can do so by clicking on the unit you wish to heal and clicking on the “Skip” button. This will only heal a small percentage of the HP and is a band-aid solution at best. Raiding the enemy tiles, too, can be a way to recover HP but is high risk, low reward.
