The newest Yakuza spin-off is right around the corner. Here’s everything we know about the Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’s Story.
Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is the newest Ryu Ga Gotoku release. It is a spin-off of their mainline Yakuza series of games. It follows a recurring character, Goro Majima after he gets amnesia and washes up on the shores of Rich Island.

Introduction to Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii’s Story
The game will start at Rich Island, which is where the protagonist, Goro Majima, washes up with amnesia. The trailers have revealed that he does not even know his own name. This will make the story flow in a different direction from the typical Yakuza story.
At Rich Island, Majima befriends a local boy, Noah Rich, and makes Rich Island his base of operations. This will be the place where you will stock up your inventory with any and all useful items.
Middle or Late Game
We know that Majima will be on a quest to regain his lost memories. Additionally, there will also likely be a legendary treasure to find. These two quests will take Majima all across the seas to various locations. These include Madlantis and Hawaii.
At some point in the game, Majima will acquire and become captain of the Goromaru. This will be your trusty ship for the entirety of the game. Moreover, this ship will help us traverse the treacherous seas and reach these various locations.
We also have another location called Nele Island, which appeared in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. This place is occupied by a devout group called the Haku. On top of this, the place is filled with nuclear waste as well.
To clean up this issue, former yakuza members have arrived at the island. Here, Majima will encounter ex-Majima family members as well. This will develop the plot further as they are likely to wake up some of Majima’s lost memories if he hasn’t awakened them already.
Antagonistic Forces
Madlantis is a place filled with various pirate lords, which will likely have conflicting interests with Majima. It will be interesting to see the Mad Dog of Shimano take on these new foes. This place is ruled by Queen Michele, while being assisted by Mortimer, reigning champion of the coliseum and Raymond Law, overseer of business.
Mortimer has had previous encounters with Majima’s crew. Meanwhile, Raymond Law has earned the moniker of the Pirate King. It will be interesting to see them cross swords (or fists) with Majima.
