This is why spending every virtual penny judiciously and using every turn wisely is important. So, we are here to tell you the best ways to spend your Gold in Civ 7.
Investing Gold in Civilization 7
There are two primary ways to spend Gold in this game: Units and Buildings. Both require different amounts of Gold for different purposes. While Units will come in handy during wars, Buildings can be considered the foundation of each civilization.
When you are waiting for your turn, you can purchase Units in the meantime to save some time. You just have to head to the Purchase tab to buy them and then deploy them as you see fit. No matter whether you are accessing a city or a town, you can purchase them anywhere. Also, Gold will be required to maintain the troops that you deploy.
Just like Units, Buildings will be built over time without cost. However, if you are in a hurry, you can pay Gold to build them instantly. This is a useful feature and also shows how important Gold can be in this game because the constructed Buildings provide Food, Production, Culture, Gold, Science, and Influence to help complete your victory conditions.
Don’t forget that destroyed Buildings can also be repaired. You may have to wait for one turn as a cost for the same. However, if the Building in question is important, we suggest you use Gold again.
Earning Gold in Civilization 7
Since Gold is such an important reserve in this game, how do you earn it? Well, there are a few ways. We suggest that you always keep this currency with you at all times. Follow these steps to make sure that you stay rich in Gold.
Certain Buildings increase your Gold production every turn. The Stock Exchange Building is one of them. You can build them (or purchase them) and ensure that you are getting more of this currency in return. So, we suggest investing in these Buildings often to keep the Gold flowing, giving you a better economic advantage over others.
Completing Legacy Paths will provide you with added benefits by letting you select and play around with Leader Attributes. If you carry on the Economic Legacy, you will earn the Economic Leader Attributes and gain good Gold profits eventually. You can also use Wildcard Attributes to increase the Economic Leader Attributes.
The best way to boost your economic condition in Civilization 7 is by choosing a Civ that buffs your Gold income in each Age. The Mughal Empire is one of the best examples. However, even if you don’t have a Civilization that prioritizes Gold, choosing Economic Momentos will give you additional buffs to your Gold production.
