Here is all you need to know about how to preload GTA 5 Enhanced Edition on PC and prepare for the massive update.
The preload for the GTA 5 Enhanced Edition is now available in the official Rockstar Games launcher. The upcoming update promises a ton of new content as well as graphics and performance improvements. However, you must have enough storage space on your system to download the update. Fortunately, for those who prefer to stick with the regular version of GTA 5, you don’t have to download the update. You can keep playing the game as usual in both single-player and online modes. The downside is that you won’t be able to play with people who installed the Enhanced Edition.

GTA 5 Enhanced Update Preload File Size
The size of the GTA 5 Enhanced Edition is around 92 GB. It’s a very large update, so make sure you have enough space on your SSD. This update is also optional, so you don’t have to download it if you don’t have enough space. However, you won’t be able to play with other people who are playing in the enhanced version.

How To Preload GTA 5 Enhanced Edition
Rockstar Games Launcher
If you purchased the game through the Epic Games Launcher, follow these instructions to preload the GTA 5 Enhanced update:
- Open Rockstar Launcher and log in.
- Search for GTA 5 Enhanced in the My Library section.
- Click on the Pre-Load option.
- Select a file destination where you want to install the update.
- Click on Install and wait for it to complete.
Steam Launcher
If you purchased the game via Steam, follow these steps to preload the new update:
- Open Steam and log in.
- Go to your Library and find Grand Theft Auto V.
- If preloading is available, a Pre-Load button will appear. Click on it.
- Choose the installation location if prompted.
- Wait for the preload to complete, and the game will be ready to play upon release.
Epic Games Launcher
If you got the game via Epic Games Store, use these steps to preload the GTA 5 Enhanced update:
- Open Epic Games Launcher and log in.
- Navigate or search your Library and find Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced.
- If preloading is available, click on the Pre-Load button.
- Select a storage location for the game files.
- Click Install and let the preload finish.
Keep in mind that there are reports that the preload option is not available for everyone who owns GTA 5. However, the preload option should roll out in a couple of days to help players prepare for the massive update.
