Death Stranding 2 On the Beach recently got its pre-order trailer, which also revealed the game’s official release date. Following the release date announcement, Sony Interactive Entertainment and Kojima Productions revealed a ton of additional details about the upcoming sequel.

The sequel once again puts players in the shoes of Sam Porter Bridges. However, instead of trying to build connections across the fragmented world, Sam is tasked with something more personal this time around. Similar to the previous title, details regarding Death Stranding 2’s story are incredibly sparse. However, if you’re looking for information related to the game’s pre-orders and prices, that’s already available.

In addition to the pre-orders, Kojima Productions has also revealed details on the game’s “early access” incentive. However, the early access for the sequel comes with some caveats. Here’s everything you need to know about Death Stranding 2’s early access.

How To Get Death Stranding 2 Early Access

To get early access to Death Stranding 2, you will need to pre-order the Deluxe or the Collector’s Editions of the game. Pre-ordering either of these editions will grant you 48-hour early access to the full game on PS5. It is locked behind the more expensive editions of the game (physical and digital) and will not be available to players who pre-order the Standard Edition.

The Deluxe Edition is priced at $79.99 and comes with a host of additional in-game bonuses on top of the Standard Edition content. The Collector’s Edition, on the other hand, is priced at $229.99 and comes with a 15” Magellan Man Statue, a 3” Dollman figurine, and other physical goodies.

You also get access to the contents of the Deluxe Edition for pre-ordering the Collector’s Edition. However, it should be noted that the Collector’s Edition has a limited stock and is only available via PlayStation Direct in a select few regions. Do note that although Death Stranding 2 is releasing as a PS5 exclusive, it’s very likely to arrive on PC as well, albeit at a later date.
