The Amazon Ascendancy offers a dynamic playstyle with a focus on critical and elemental damage. It is just doubling down on the Huntress, making your spears more valuable using things like power charges and frenzy charges. This is only to get different elemental bonuses, increasing your abilities against rare and unique enemies with opened weaknesses. It allows you to deal 50% more damage and do some interesting things with your life and mana flasks. It also allows you to leech life with both elemental and physical damage. The next one here, the Forgemaster, is very interesting.
You can forge your weapon and increase its viability in the middle of battle. This adds explosions to your weapon with a tempered weapon. You can also craft your chest piece using the ascendancy. Your body armor will essentially be a blank slate where you can add different stats on top of it using your ascendancy. This is a unique thing, and it allows for some interesting customization. This is where you normally wouldn’t be able to get some of these mods or be able to just perfectly change your build on a whim if you get an upgrade somewhere else. The nodes in Path of Exile 2 offer a set of enhancements, allowing you to customize your Amazon build for increased damage, survivability, and versatility. - Infused Avatar- 50% chance for Infusion to not be Consumed when Infusing a Projectile
Elemental Infusion
You generate a charge and then consume it, and then you get your infusion. The question here is whether this is an attack by itself where the infused weapon is an attack that you do or is this damage that is added to another type of attack. The wording implies it is something that you add to another attack because it doesn’t specify a weapon type or anything like that. It grants your weapon infusion projectile with that weapon consume infusion to infuse the projectile. This causes it to explode at the end of its flight. Elemental Infusion causes your projectiles to explode on impact for 612% of Weapon Damage after consuming the corresponding Charge. Elemental Charges consume charges like Power, Endurance, and Frenzy and grants elemental infusions like Cold, Fire, and Lightning.
Infused Avatar
This allows your infusion to not be consumed when infusing a projectile. Infused Avatar helps keep in charge of fusion up for maximum up time. It effectively provides 50% more infused projectiles unless the charge generation is extremely high. Keep in mind that keeping the up time close to 100% will be pretty easy even without spending points for Infused Avatar. This node is less popular, and you can ignore it if you will be able to generate enough charges often enough.
Predatory Instinct
You can see on an enemy’s health bar when they are in that open weakness range. This seems to be approximately 30% of the monster’s health bar, and if it’s up to like 50% of the monster’s health bar, it could be really good. The reason is that it effectively grants you 25% more damage.
In for the Kill
The presence range is increased by Presence Range, but it is 4m by default. When the Enemy’s current HP bar actively has an Open Wound, you gain this bonus. This is not a good node because you will kill rares pretty fast when mapping. Skill speed is also increased, not more, so that node is not multiplicative, and it’s not going to provide you 40% skill speed.
Critical Strike
If you have twice the Accuracy compared to the targets’ Evasion, you gain a 100% chance to hit. Chance to hit is capped at 150%, providing you up to +12.5% base crit. You can combine it with the accuracy distance penalty and blind because it’s easy to get to this cap when attacking from outside melee range. Critical Strike allows your Chance to Hit to exceed 100%, converting 25% of excess chance into increased Critical Hit Chance with Attacks.
Penetrate
The highest Accuracy prefix roll on a Quarterstaff grants +550 Accuracy. This competes with the highest flat damage rolls, which grant the same damage because the accuracy is a prefix. Attacks using your weapon gain added physical damage equal to 25% of the weapon’s accuracy rating. This node could potentially be very strong, especially if you can build a character with high weapon accuracy. Penetrate adds Physical Damage to your attacks equal to 25% of your weapon’s Accuracy Rating.
Mystic Harvest
Mystic Harvest allows Life Leech from both Physical and Elemental damage, enhancing sustain. Since leech has been pretty weak in Path of Exile 2 before, I don’t think that it’s worth two points invested. Mystic Harvest can be useful in some particular conditions but generally, it’ll be pretty unpopular.
Stalking Panther
It provides evasion rating from equipped helmet, gloves, and boots doubled. The evasion rating from equipped body armor is halved. Since you will be able to use different unique body armor, you will be completely fine with the evasion halved from it. However, doubling evasion rating from your helmet, gloves, and boots can improve your capability significantly. Stalking Panther is a very good option if you want to survive better. This will be pretty valuable at the league start since you don’t have a lot of high evasion items.
