Rest Points To Keep in Mind

Each area in Spring Meadows has designated rest flags. These act as both fast travel points and places to strengthen your character. You can also spend time adjusting your skills here.

  • Meadows Corridor: This is the first one you will find after meeting Lune. Progress through a straightforward section and it’ll appear.
  • Grand Meadow: You will see this after you exit the house ruins into an open field. It’s hard to miss thanks to the large landscape.
  • Abandoned Expeditioner Camp: Keep going from the Grand Meadow, and you will find this with Jar sitting beside it.
  • The Indigo Tree: This one marks the last stretch of Spring Meadows. Once you pass it, prepare for a key encounter.

Each of these rest spots matters. Use them to manage your build and plan your route.

There are three major enemies that stand out in Spring Meadows. Each one needs a different approach.

  • Chromatic Lancelier: This optional foe is located near the Grand Meadow. Begin the fight by shooting its weak spot, then use Lune’s Ice Lance for extra damage. Timing your parries and counters will push up its stun bar fast, making the fight with Chromatic Lancelier shorter.
  • Jar: Jar starts as an NPC but becomes a boss once his task is done. You will find him near the Abandoned Expeditioner Camp. Search the area for a Resin item and bring it back. Once his torch is lit, the option to challenge him will appear.
  • Eveque: Unlike the others, Eveque is part of the main storyline. You will meet Eveque after crossing the Indigo Tree. Focus your hits on the glowing central core. Countering ice spells helps build the stun gauge. The boss summons others mid-battle—deal with those quickly before shifting attention back.

Weapons You Can Pick Up

You will find enemy-specific weapons here.

  • Lanceram: This one is tied to Gustave. It drops from the lance-bearing Lanceliers.
  • Lighterim: This is for Lune. Abbests, who are triangle-headed creatures with green weak points, drop it.

Don’t forget to test new gear. It could make certain fights simpler, especially if your team setup needs a change.

Helpful Pictos and Their Effects

Pictos are like enhancements. Each one affects how a character performs in battle. There are six in this area.

  • Dodger: Boosts AP gain on perfect dodges.
  • Critical Burn: Increases crit chance if the enemy is burning.
  • Augmented Attack: Raises base attack damage.
  • Burning Shots: Free Aim shots can inflict Burn.
  • Cleansing Tint: Heals and clears status effects.
  • Empowering Attack: Grants “Powerful” status on basic attacks.

You will earn these from either boss fights or by exploring hidden paths, cliffs, and caves. Keep an eye out for visual cues—flare signals, glowing items, or unusual branches can lead to them.

Spring Meadows has one unique outfit set, both outfit and haircut:

  • Baguette Set: To obtain this, defeat the Mime. Start from the Grand Meadow, avoid the large enemy, and instead go left. Watch for a path with a lance enemy, and use the grappling hook to continue. The Mime waits at the end.

NPC You Can Talk To

Jar is the only non-hostile character here. He’s near the Abandoned Expeditioner Camp. If you find the Resin he asks for, a choice to confront him later becomes available. This small interaction adds layers to your time here.

Enemies You Will Encounter in Spring Meadows

You will run into a few regular enemies as well.

  • Lancelier: Weak against Ice.
  • Portier: Also Ice-vulnerable.

Knowing what element works best saves you time. Avoid guesswork. Stick with what works and conserve your skills for stronger targets.

Journal Entry To Collect

There’s one expedition journal to find.

  • Expedition 81 – Renee: This is lying before Jar. This journal entry shares details about earlier expeditions before Expedition 33 that failed to return to Lumiere.

Spring Meadows isn’t just about fighting. It’s about observation. Areas are full of optional paths and silent clues. If you keep your pace steady and make use of your rest points, you won’t have to backtrack later.
