In this guide, we shall go over all the enemy types in REPO and discuss the various ways to defeat the creatures.

REPO is all about heading into haunted locations and retrieving valuable loot, which you then sell for money, and then rinse and repeat. The loop seems fairly manageable, or would be fairly manageable, if not for the game’s many monsters and enemies. The game has dozens of monsters who patrol the haunted locations, throwing a wrench into your simple plans of retrieving treasures.
What makes these challenges harder is how each enemy is different. Some enemies fall on the smaller side, while others tower over you with ease. Regardless of their size, each of these enemies has its own quirks and habits, necessitating the need to study them properly. If you’re looking to make the most of your REPO experience, you need to know your enemies inside and out, and we’re here to help with that.

Below, we’ve listed all the monsters that you may stumble across while playing the game.
Monster | The Monster, Explained | How To Beat |
Bangers | Bangers are large skulls with dynamites jutting out of their eye sockets. These skulls rush at you when they spot you and then detonate. | You can beat these monsters by picking them up and throwing them away. |
Peepers | The Peepers are the eye monsters that force your crosshair onto them, dealing damage worth 2 HP per second. While not a problem on their own, they can be troublesome with other monsters nearby. | You can beat them by avoiding the line of sight and entering another room. This will despawn them. |
Shadowchild | The Shadowchild is a monster that grows arms the longer you stare at it. It then pulls you in to attack. | Avoid looking at them to stay safe. Weapons are highly effective if you wish to kill. |
Gnomes | The gnomes come in groups of 4 and attack like rats. They come after valuables, but will attack you if you have nothing. | You can toss them on the floor to break them. |
Apex Predator | The Apex Predator comes in the form of a duck. If you disturb this duck or hold it, it transforms into the predator, attacking you on sight. | Avoid interactions with the duck. Since it follows you around, you can bait it into falling into acid or into a pit. |
Spewer | A flying octopus-like creature that spits acid. | Grab it out of the air and slam it around to kill it. |
Rugrat | The Rugrat is a baby that picks up valuables and throws them right at you. | Pick up and slam the baby, or hit it with an object in hand to kill. |
The Animal | The Animal is like a bug and crawls all over the ground. This creature will run around the area if it spots you, damaging everything in its way. | Use a mine to kill the creature. |
Upscream | The Upscream is a crawling creature that screams and grabs you. The grabs put you in the Vulnerable state. | Slam the creature to kill it. |
Chef | The Chef is a frog that lunges at you with knives. | Bait the frog into falling into a pit, or pick it up and toss it around to kill. |
Hidden | Hidden is an invisible man who attacks you. He may also grab you and take you to another area. | You can spot the invisible man through his footprints. Use this to attack him with weapons. |
Bowtie | This is a large snowman that attacks you from a distance. | Use medium or large valuables to smack the creature. The pistol kills him in one hit, too. |
Mentalist | The Mentalist is a floating alien creature that lifts you up and throws you around using a forcefield. | Use a grenade to kill the creature. |
Headman | The Headman is a floating head that scans the room for you. If it spots you, it will scream and charge at you to attack. | You’ll need weapons to deal with this creature. If you wish to escape, run right at the creature and slide-crouch right under this. This causes the creature to de-aggro. |
Robe | The Robe is a cloaked creature that blends in the dark and is completely silent. Once it spots you, it lets out a noise and attacks. | The creature is vision-based, so staying out of its sight will keep you safe. If spotted, look away and run as the creature moves faster when you look at it. As a last resort, use weapons to dispose of it. |
The Huntsman | The Huntsman is a blind man with a gun. The man attacks purely on audio cues. | Staying silent is key to surviving against the Huntsman. If cornered, toss items to distract and escape. |
Reaper | The Reaper is a scarecrow enemy with blades for arms. The creature swings its arms and rushes at you to deal damage. | If the creature spots you, run away to the other room and it will de-aggro. Use weapons to deal with it if needed. |
The Clown | The Clow uses its nose to launch laser beams. | If standing, the Clown aims his beam at head-level. Wait for him to shoot the beam and then crouch to dodge. Use weapons to kill this creature. |
Trudge | The Trudge is a black and red blob with eyeballs. | The enemy has a bunch of attacks, all of which deal a chunk of damage. The creature is slow, so your best bet is to escape. |
