Learn how to use Arcane Clones in The Slormancer and summon more than once clone at a time using the Arcane Commander.

The Mage class in The Slormancer has several powerful abilities that can deal damage continuously when positioned well. One of the most popular ways to do so is with Arcane Clones. The ability creates a pink duplicate of the mage that repeatedly casts a particular spell at nearby enemies. Our guide outlines how Arcane Clones work, which skills to choose to make the most of them, and the steps required to field more than one at a time.
How To Unlock and Use Arcane Clones in The Slormancer
Arcane Clones are not tied to any one skill or specialization; instead, they’re tied directly to specific skill upgrades. When browsing a skill’s tree, look for skill upgrades with a small purple icon of a clone drawn on it—these signify upgrades that swap active casting for clone summoning.
For example, in the Arcane Missiles tree, taking Arcanic Delegation (third row, third upgrade) replaces manual casting with a clone that automatically fires Arcane Missiles at nearby enemies. This transforms your playstyle by allowing your clone to handle offense while you avoid attacks and reposition. The clone inherits your attack stats but operates at a -31.68% attack speed.
How To Get Multiple Arcane Clones in The Slormancer

Initially, only one clone can be active at a time. When you cast another skill with the Arcane Clone upgrade, the new clone will replace the previous one. That’s where the Arcane Commander specialization becomes essential. Although Arcane Clones can be used under any specialization, the Arcane Commander specialization maximizes their effectiveness.
By unlocking the Arcane Chieftain and Arcane King passives, you increase your clone capacity to two and three, respectively. Having the ability to field multiple clones can make you truly overpowered, as each clone adds +100% DPS.

Arcane Clone Mana and Damage Optimization
To use Arcane Clones repeatedly, it’s vital to equip skills that reduce or nullify the mana cost. For Arcane Missile, upgrading Arcane Funding allows you to re-summon clones at no additional cost, letting you re-cast the skill whenever you want to reposition the clone. Use such skill upgrades together with Arcane Commander abilities to dramatically reduce the mana cost of summoning Arcane Clones.
Arcane Clones remain stationary, so central placement maximizes their damage output. Once your mana economy is stable and the aforementioned clone skill upgrades have been made, regularly re-casting clones becomes a tactical advantage rather than a burden.
